Are you sure? It seems that some mods think that SS protects all apps....also the GUI gives that impression.

Ahh, when will this SS debate ever reach a conclusion... Roll Eyes
This confirmation from a CMF developer forwarded by 3xist is the answer, so it should be revised on Wiki.

Which should we believe?  The help file, GUI impression, and ~1/2 of mods; or a PM by a dev sent to a mod, Melih (he may have misunderstood, along with the dev), and the other ~1/2 of mods.... Thinking

I'd have to agree the wording for various sections sounds subjective.  I will see if I can come up with something and submit it via the forums for those who who created the thread to check it out.

Unless anyone has something better, I am erasing the bragging part of the Antivirus and replace it with something suitable. I think you are not allowed to express for yourself (or a particular) someone on Wikipedia, sorry Melih  Embarrassed

Read the new Antivirus part on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comodo_Internet_Security_Suite#Antivirus
Change it if you like, but be warned that you should not express yourself or someone's way of thinking. (hmmm, I guess it also applies to the whole CIS topic on Wikipedia.

I've fixed up the introduction bit, and added a seperate 'Layered Security' section. Hopefully this should make everything clearer.

It might be nice for somebody who is able to upload images to add in the logo.

Since it looks the article is constantly questioned for missing 3rd party references maybe this incomplete list will prove useful as well with an explicit mention to point out that CIS includes CFP (likely meant for those peer reviewers that are still objecting the contents)

https://forums.comodo.com/feedbackcommentsannouncementsnews_cis/comodo_internet_security_on_wikipedia-t31969.0.html;msg239117#msg239117

eg: Like NIS  it could be mentioned the 2007 PCmag award. There is a link but it doesn't points to http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2240712,00.asp (the award article beginning featuring the award) but to another page of the same article (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2240716,00.asp )

Or other resources like lifehacker (which can be linked to it wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lifehacker entry in case the reviewers don't acknowledge it as a reputable source)
CIS/CFP was included in Five Best Windows Firewalls by Lifehaker readers. (actually it was the most voted after passing the preliminary selection.)

I just looked over the page on Wikipedia.  It does resemble an ad or magazine review.  It does require a complete rewrite to make it much more of an encyclopedia entry.  (No, I am not a writer so I cannot offer specific suggestions to help with the rewrite, I am just offering my $.02 worth. I will note doing a write-up such as this is a formidable task.  My hat is off to those that can accomplish it to everyone's satisfaction.)

and:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norton_360
Hm..

I will put some effort into making it pass some day this week, unless someone else does that.
Before me. =)

I don't think the article is coming along too bad. It's a work in progress.

It just needs a little love. Love

I'm deffo not good at explaining CIS Wikipedia style. Sad But I do agree, It's a work in progress.... people work together to keep working on it and it will get better. Good Start IMO...
