Hi Guys,

Please all post COMODO Internet Security bug reports in this thread: https://forums.comodo.com/feedbackcommentsannouncementsnews_cis/comodo_internet_security_310102194530_bug_reports-t42039.0.html

This way, If an emergency fix needs to be done, it will be introduced in a 3.10 build, All other bug reports that are posted, will be taken into consideration so they don't happen in CIS version 4.0.

Cheers,
Josh

you're not alone obviously...

( https://forums.comodo.com/feedbackcommentsannouncementsnews_cis/comodo_internet_security_3995478509_released-t39202.390.html ) "my old high CPU usage issue"

I'm still using V3.5...
audio mess up while torrenting for awhile with v3.8-v3.9...while torrent and play audio/video together... (4-11% CPU usage with v3.5 ~~~ 30-44% CPU usage with v3.8-3.9)

High CPU usage keep rising at 34%-44% and stay there until reboot...

I'm still thinking upgrade my v3.5 to v3.10 or not cause it take time to switchs back and fore again(need 2-3 times reboot) if issues not ever fixed (again) seems like COMODO don't really care about some users do have High CPU issues since v3.8 and latest update...

BTW I got 8GB RAM with Quad core / Vista x64...
They do care but with some bugs giving you system details and what is running on your system is not enough.

If they cannot duplicate the bug on there systems they cannot fix it.

I can only ask please help the dev fix these bugs by allowing them access to your system.

Thank you
Dennis

In case you were unaware, the version showing for download on the main site http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/download_firewall.html is still 529, not 530.

NEW! CIS now allows the users to change the URL for the program and virus updates
nice,
but it's possible to download virus-database separately? (in zip package or other)

A big Well Done for 3.10 release!

A significant increase in bootup time on my vista SP2 Home Ultimate machine!

A significant increase in internet speed with the secure DNS. Geez, I didn't know my ISP was so bad!

Oh, and did I mention only 1 alert since I've installed it!

As a followup to Re: COMODO Internet Security 3.10.101801.529 Released

I've been seeding two ubuntu torrents for more than 12 hours now.

Tested on a XP SP3 (post SP3 patches included) 32bit, without any unofficial patch/hack and CIS 3.10.102194.530 full W/O other 3rd party security software. The PC dates back to 7 years ago.

Windows media player has been running all along (and still is) playing a loop of few MP3s.

Among other activities, websurfing and downloading have been carried and thus far the DPC latencies never shown an increase of the baseline average latency which, despite the continued activities, is below 500 microsec.

Reported absolute maximum has been 6327 microsec though this is unrelated to the issue as reported whereas some users experienced an increase of baseline latencies after few hours.

IMPROVED! Direct disk access false alerts have been reduced:

This appears completely fixed with all my tests.

I'm asking a version related question: are there known security issues addressed by this 3.10 release as against the version I am currently using: 3.9.95478.509

I wasn't reporting a bug, albeit I did describe my situation. I don't care if it's a bug because it seems to be afflicting no one else. I just want to know if I am safe in sticking with my current version or if I am exposing myself to vulnerablities.

There are no longer any AV database updates available in 3.9. Users must update to 3.10 in order to continue them. Also, "IMPROVED! AV engine now supports more archives and has better detection capabilities". Other than that, I don't see any other fixes that were needed in the case of vulnerabilities.

Are AV updates also disabled? I've been on 1538 since doing the clean install of 3.10 yesterday.

Hi Dch48,
It's true we've  frozen  AV updates for a small period.
Now it's ok and current db is 1541.

Thanx for your attention, we do appreciate it!

Best Regards,

The release notes web page on http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/release_notes.html says Version 3.10.101801.529 : 7th July, 2009. What's up with the future date, July 7th??? Is it 3.10.101801.529 or is it 3.10.101801.530? I upgraded to 3.10.101801.529 2 days ago and this morning I get a pop up that an update is available???

This is important information, thank you! As I don't use the AV, I'm in perfect shape and grateful for the product. Sincerely, I appreciate the work of the publisher and the Moderators.
