You could easily test out the Wizard to see what it did, by switching to a Profile that you don't use & running the Wizard from there. Check the rules before & after to see what it did. Switch back to your original Profile when your done.

PS To be safe, I always find it best to backup (export) a profile before I do something drastic.

It's strange but my installation of 3.9 had the exact same global rules that 3.10 does.

Dch48- My CIS 3.9 was installed by the Comodo updater which may be why it came with no Global Firewall Rules. I did a clean install of CIS 3.10 and it came with a default Global Firewall rule setting which is in the Stealth Ports Wizard as the option "Alert me to incoming connections - stealth my ports on a per-case basis" where this Global Rule (which I have now come to understand) is set-

Block ICMP In From Any IP Address To Any IP Address Where Message is ECHO REQUEST

Things are so quiet now that the Comodo Firewall is properly set and not constantly logging the hundreds and sometimes thousands of echo requests that are made on my computer each day although it was nice to have seen the incredibly large numbers that describe just how much protection the Comodo Firewall affords us.

I have never used the stealth ports wizard, I just let it detect my network and went with defaults. It still shows all ports stealthed except 113 which is closed. That port I don't think needs to be stealthed and can cause problems with authentication by some apps if it is.

Hi guys

Installed CIS 3.10xxxx531 just an hour ago. Spy Sweeper scanned my sys under 9 min. Much better. Grin Thank you guys. My DOS is working too. Thumb Up

It's strange but my installation of 3.9 had the exact same global rules that 3.10 does.

That happened to me when I went back from 3.10 to 3.9 when Spy Sweeper was not working with 3.10. It was weird to see those global rules since 3.9 came with:

Block ICMP In From Any IP Address To Any IP Address Where Message is ECHO REQUEST

and I clean installed both CIS and deleted all files and registry.

I am also using stealth ports wizard and I know I will get like 300 UDP to ports 137 and 138 at the end of the night but I will create a rule to not show those blocks later on.

Thank you again Comodo for Fixing SS and DOS so quickly. Wink

OK, totally confused: the details for the update give Version 3.10.101801.529 : 7th July, 2009; my installation is 3.10.102194.530 and now we have a mini-update.

Is http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/release_notes.html wrong?

Oh, and the start of this thread, on 2/7, has 3.10.102363.531 with a lot of changes!
