Hi,
I installed CIS 3.10.102194.530 and after rebooting I got a BSOD with ""DRIVER_IRQL-NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" in tcpip.sys. I had to deinstall CIS in save mode to solve this problem.

Operating System: XP Media Center Edition, 32 bit, SP3

Antivirus Software: Avira Antivir Personal 9.0.0.403

Other software, that runs on startup: Services for Unix (SFU) from Microsoft, only the NFS Server is running.

CIS installation options: Firewall: yes, Antivirus: no, Defense+: yes, secure DNS: yes

Is there a known issue with SFU (see above)?

The minidump is attached.

Thanks and best regards

After I updated CIS to 3.10.102194.530,
IE7 will use all the CPU resources when closing the browser and can’t close correctly.
This is a Windows XP SP3 (MCE) 32-bit computer.
This problem is not occurred in CIS 3.9.95478.509
(Sorry,I’m from Taiwan.So my English is not good.Maybe there is some grammar wrong.)

In the predefined security rules any paths (e.g. in temp files group) that refer to user directories only include the path for the user who installed it eg:

c:\users\administrator\appdata\local\temp

It would be better if it was something like:

c:\users\*\appdata\local\temp

so it applies to all users.

There are several places with this fault.

I am also experiencing a problem running a 16 bit application with Comodo Internet Security installed (version 3.10.102194.530). The application is called "Distant Suns 4" and it is a 16-bit astronomy app that is very useful and easy to use, and it is a must for me. The only solution I found that worked is uninstalling CIS, after which the app works fine again. The error message I receive when trying to run the 16-bit app while running CIS is, "Attempt to access invalid address". That's it.

My system has XP SP3 x86 installed. Here I just found a temporary fix for this and the assurance that this issue is being worked on and will be fixed: https://forums.comodo.com/feedbackcommentsannouncementsnews_cis/comodo_internet_security_310102194530_bug_reports-t42039.0.html;msg305938#msg305938

Thanks...

Hi, I have noticed ever since I upgraded to CIS 3.10.102194.530 that when CIS catches a bad file it says that it has quarantined it, but it never appears in the quarantine. The file is deleted though. This happens with either the real time scanner or on demand. To make this even stranger some files are properly quarantined. With the high number of false positives that CIS currently has, this is a huge problem that needs to be addressed.

-I am using Windows XP SP3  (32 bit)
-The only security application that I am using is CIS 3.10.102194.530
-Both the D+ and firewall are set to safe mode
-The exact same thing happened to me with CIS 3.10.102194.529
-I am always logged in as an administrator

Hi, Chiron

Could you please specify what files are deleted by CIS instead of quarantining?
Can you give us this samples in order to reproduce your issue?

Some kind of conflict between CIS AV (after each database update) and EFS

1. Vista Business 32, SP2; CIS 3.10.102194.530

2. none

3. Steps to reproduce the issue:
   - enable vista built-in EFS encryption for some files (txt, for example);
   - reboot the computer;
   - manually update the virus database (or wait for an automatic update);
   - the content of efs encrypted files becomes corrupted after database update;

4. Ways to resolve the problem:
   - restart the computer after each AV update - after restarting encrypted files become readable;
   - add efs encrypted folders to AV exclusions list;

5. no crashes

WinXp is not affected by this issue;
Only files that were not opened earlier in this session (since computer start-up) become corrupted;
Previous version of CIS also was affected by this problem: https://forums.comodo.com/anti_virus_bugs/comodo_antivirus_component_of_comodo_internet_security_corrupts_efs_files-t33649.0.html

Unable to export my configuration

1. Vista Business 32, SP2, administrator account, UAC enabled; CIS 3.10.102194.530

2. none

3. Steps to reproduce the issue:
   - open CIS - miscellaneous - manage my configurations;
   - select configuration and click on Export;
   - choose folder and name;
   - get the error message "Unable to obtain necessary rights. Please run this utility as Administrator and try again."

Thanks...

I just posted this, but after I did updating from within CIS, guard32.dll was updated it seems and now my 16-bit app is working again! So looks like next version of CIS will have this integrated. Thanks!

Yes,the SafeSurf in my computer is v1.0.0.7
Uninstall or disable (disabling works for some) SafeSurf & this will allow the browsers to shut down properly. SafeSurf has been replaced by HopSurf (not available on CIS updates) and components within CIS (which are possibly conflicting).

1. Your Operating System : XP 32 sp3

2. Other Security and Utility Software Installed : No

3. Step by step description to reproduce the issue : Both, the 3.9 and 3.10 version detects MyIVO software as a Unclassified Malware but I added it to my own safe files. After installing CIS 3.10, MyIVO Service crashes.
I've tested in two different computers and the same happens. Whenever it tries to establish connection, SVCHOST takes 70-90% CPU time and after a while a pop-up window with error message appears. The same occurs if I close CIS -off course cmdagent & cfp are still running- or if I add MyIVO to my own or protected files.

4. How you tried to resolve the problem : Uninstall CIS

Hi Kylie,

Does this happen on with 3.10 or it happened with 3.9 before too?

Hi,
I installed CIS 3.10.102194.530 and after rebooting I got a BSOD with ""DRIVER_IRQL-NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" in tcpip.sys. I had to deinstall CIS in save mode to solve this problem.
