I'm wondering if CIS checks for updates as soon as it detects internet connection (after system boot) and what are the intervals used later. Does it check for new defs hourly? Every 2 hours? 4 hours? Only once per 24 hours?

'When this check box is selected, Comodo Internet Security Pro checks for latest  virus database updates from Comodo website and downloads the updates automatically, on system start-up and subsequently at regular intervals. '

there is currently no option to define it to X amount of hours but I would think every hour or so

AndI'd like to see an option to delay the startup update check for X minutes, to remove the update from the rest of the startup stampede.
