Hello stvh1,

and welcome to the forums.....
Well comodo is the new pioneering company in the field of desktop security products which has taken desktop security market by storm thanks to its top notch FREE security applications..

I see that you have already read a few articles about comodo firewall.....so i assume that you know  it's the ONLY leak-proof firewall available...
so I STRONGLY recommend you to use this firewall.

now, about the comodo antivirus/spyware (CAVS)
I think that its not as good as other antivirus softwares out there but its constantly improving..
the latest one is 2.0 (beta) but its advantage is...it has got HIPS.
Read more about HIPS here....
http://forums.comodo.com/hips_host_intrusion_prevention_systems-b70.0/

So i suggest that you stick with your current A/V for now and come back to CAVS later...
that of course if you like it ('am sure you WILL).. Kewl

regards

hi, i'm a newbie too, but maybe i should post my opinion here.the firewall is the BEST ever!! and for the CAV, it's still a beta version and has a few bugs in it. for example, i can't do safe removal for my usb drive if i don't restart my computer.it's no big deal but really annnoying. other than that, CAV just fine, even the virus database better than symantec!!
for example, try looking for W32/rontokbro in symantec threat list and compare to CAV.u'll see the difference
