After reading some AV rankings it seems this current version of Comodo's AV is to be nice...crap. The average detection rate is only around 50%. I was wondering how accurate that is and will the upcoming version be able to detect viruses better (alot better!!) than a meager 50%?

The CAVS 3 scanning engine is completely different from the old CAVS 2 scanning engine. From what I understand it's meant to be a VERY significant Detection Improvement from CAVS 2. We'll have to wait and see what 3rd party testers like av-comparatives and virus bulletin think once's it's fully released out of beta.
