Hi guys,
First: As I stated above those plugins will be addons for CFP. If you do not install it it will not slow down your pcs.

Second: I am not a big fun of the idea of blocking adds. But we should think about the members that connect with 56k and GPRS. When I used GPRS those adds made the navigation very difficult.
I started browsing with 19.2 Kbps modems :-)
ad-blocking is merely a function of firewall, same is about referer, etc.
It is easily done with browser.
It is especially so, since that filtering may corrupt web-site - and how will user know ?
So whether CPF would do it, i hope it will be low priority task, perhaps some elementary function for marketing hype and taking hour or two to implement.
What is DNS resolution ?
If make a swiss knife out of CPF, i'd prefer easy spam reporting, look at e-mail, track its path and forward with customised template to abuse [ at ] , postmaster [ at ] etc contacts for servers, the spam message went through.
One more plugin - is NAT traversal.
There is two protocols, allowing outside port opening: UPnP and ZeroConf draft. Many modern routers, even when chained, can respect those commands.
There are also UDP-based TCP emulating networks like Hamachi and gg-game.com
Afair there was also an "Best practives" RFC recently published.
To modify settings for my VoIP or P2P or online game, slloeing them to automagically obtainsome virtual adapter with outside IP/port could be a unique feature in all the firewalls.
More: traffic counter and categorizer.
I'd like to be able to import rules from some online file (and let Firewall periodically re-check it) with some arbitrary format (external script ? regexps?) so that Firewall would show me totals of several traffic groups (for example one ISP i used had free, cheap and expensive internet zones).
It would be nice if menu over tray icon allowed me to not only block all traffic (see Panic button in wishlist) but also block any of those groups.
And let there be pop-ups, so i could make comodo alert me if, for example,
1. "expensve" traffic run more than 1Mb/hour
2. SMTP outgoing traffic runs more than 10Mb/5 minute - look like SPAM trojan inside.
3. Let me see how many downstream traffic i wast when uploading large files, be it FTP or HTTP or some P2P
4. Let me enter some URL and now how expensive it would be to me to conect to it. Which group certain server/service falls under. Somehow might be related to the next plugin idea.
Even more: smart traceroute.
I wish i could overlook which is the path to the site, used by Opera currently.
It is not what usual ICMP traceroute does, it is not relevant when traffice is differentiated by port, for example.
So, if posisble, it would be like to hijack any running apps to trace it's certain streams to certain services on certains servers.
If not - then just open list of current network data streams - and send treaceroute over certain local and remote ip/port's.
