Right.  I know ur tryin' to be funny, Soya, but I don't think there'd be a Firewall III v3.3.  Tongue

The detailed version number would just be in the "About" section.  For as long as it was in the v3 family, it would be Firewall III.  Once the family became v4, it would be Firewall IV, with details in the "About."

Actually, not this time.  And I thought you aren't a programmer, so how would you know there won't be such version Kiss.  It's this part that's a little awkward: III 3.xxx with two consecutive three's, but with the v in front that it won't matter I suppose.

BDW...just curious...what's the story behind the name COMODO...

Nah, you missed the point, Soya.  I'm not talking about there not being a version 3.3...

Melih asked about a name for the new version.  At present it's Comodo Firewall Pro.  So I proposed Comodo Firewall III, along with Cliffhucker.  The name of the current version isn't Comodo Firewall Pro 2.4, it's just Comodo Firewall Pro.  Thus, it wouldn't be Comodo Firewall III 3.3 (or 3.1, or whatever), just Comodo Firewall III  (for as long as the "family" is still version 3.x).  Once there was a version 4.x, the name would change, as Cliffhucker noted, to Comodo Firewall IV.

At present, the splash screen has a small Version 2.4 in the corner, but that's the only place outside of the "About" menu that you see the version.
