, I'll make the poll.  This will at least give a general idea where posters' preferences lean.

  • Only ones with the Comodo name in front are included because that's the way it's always been with all Comodo products.
  • Fake names and ones that are beyond the scope of comprehension are excluded.
  • There are a lot of similarities and variations, so they will be grouped together by the slash / and brackets () symbols.
  • This poll will be viewable by all and voters are allowed to change their two votes.
  • If there are any (spelling) errors or more additions/revisions, go ahead point them out and they'll be updated.

Don't shoot me for constructing the longest-poll-in-history!  Took forever to alphabetically group them.

Holly!! Hey Soya, congrats on the list. From my part, thanks, personally i would not load such list Shocked. Some of my own names were really a joke, but to be sure, you went in and added some. Thanks for the patience Grin. I think your making a point by showing them all Smiley We should at least vote serious.

From my names, if Comodo Firewall Xtreme and Comodo Deep Firewall are in (and are really not cool..  Grin), what's wrong with 4x4? One has to show some criteria Soya! (like remove these too).

And Comodo Ultimate Firewall For Security is supposed to have this info also: (CUFFS...); it really was about the CUFFS.
Comodo Enforcer really about comic books... or something.

I vote CPF. It is a firewall, and a PFW too, ,since it's to be used on a PC.

If the name really should mean more, like Melih wanting it so, because of the HIPS, my opinion would go for Comodo System Firewall. Because it will be an application firewall to, so system would get it all, simpler. CSF.

I was thinking about something like that but I finally abandoned that idea, It would cause too much biased results. If we want to do it seriously we should increase the number of voters asking admins to send a mail notification to all members that choosed "Receive forum announcements and important notifications by email." in Profile - Notifications and Email. Then some math geek should check the results and evaluate the gap between the most voted name and the others... If the most voted name has a huge vote gap from 2nd place. Eventually a poll could be made to choose the final name if it has some minor variations.

I think it would be better to leave the current name Comodo Firewall, it has it's own reputation allready Wink..  As a matter of fact I don't believe that the name is important.
