Right from the beginning I wanted the stupid "Pro" suffix to be ditched. I therefore support the views of triple 6. Long live Comodo Anywall :-)

Now it's all marketing...People love the word pro...

why do you think XP came as "Home" and "Professional"

It's all marketing...There are different ways to attract ppl...Some judge the product after using it.
but most they look at it and "judge"

So the name should tell it all...Again it's just "marketing"

Exactly My Point...

It's become a norm nowadays! Pro stands for a fully featured product, And people expect that as well.

So when you name the product, it should tell ppl what kind of a product this is!

General public normally doesn't try out all the products like we do before settling down to one!

So it should be a "name says it all" approach!

In the end Comodo will find its way. And this is either through multiplier persons or through reviews. In neither case naming would play an important role. Why should Comodo not be the company that focuses on the real stuff (security) and stop this marketing "Pro" bla bla as well. Quality will find its way.

IMO "name says it all" is only half truth. What Comodo wants is that people recognize the Comodo brand. It absolutely doesn't matter if you drop the "Pro" besides it.

I agree.  If Comodo Firewall needs a "Pro" suffix then to be consistent all the others like Comodo AntiViruSpyware and Comodo AntiSpam would need it, too, and that would just be a little odd Grin.

Things like Pro, Suite, Internet Security, etc, are synonymous with "cost me money" and "drag down my computer."  Not only that, but they indicate that there is also an inferior product offered by the same company (even if there really isn't).  Thus, you always have to wonder, "am I really getting the best?"

Regardless of the final decision to name it Comodo Firewall III ( Grin ) I think it should be kept simple, and avoid the major marketing ploy names that are currently in use by the "competition."
