I'm not grumpy, just misunderstood.

For completeness: On the system I tested it on, Defense+ was active & set to Safe Mode.

up, because there are no reply for this problem :

Same system here, and same result: the GUI is not displayed properly, with the title bar sometimes disappearing.

With my config (vista ultimate 64 SP1) the GUI isn't displayed properly. Same problem as other members of the forum who have the same config. The title bar sometimes disappear; the windows elevator  do not work; minimize-resize-close" buttons are invisible; the display is slow.
Someone we can help to solve this problem ?

Thanks in advance

Luckyfox, I sense this is a new bug affecting only (some?) Vista PC's:

for people that got a UI bug with comodo on vista 64, do u have all the same graphic card brand?
(i don't say that the GPU driver is the cause, it's certainly a prob in comodo if olders builds worked properly, but it's just to know if it's same GPU brand people have or if the bug appears with any cards).

Nope this is happening on my Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP1 laptop. I have onboard IntelX3100 GM965 graphics. 4GB DDR2 667Mhz ram. Intel Centrino Duo (Core 2 Duo T5250) [ at ]2x1.5Ghz. Lastly the build previous to this one worked flawlessly. Why doesn't Comodo utilize Vista's themes like most other programs do? Why the Xp-ish graphics?

I agree, don't believe that this is a driver issue, but for the record: Nvidia with 174.74. And yes, no GUI related problems before, with any Comodo 3.x build (or any driver version). Issue started right on when re-booting from automatic update, nothing else was modified or installed. Stand-alone install results similar meager UI.

Huh
For me those screens that currently work on Comodo, appear exactly like other programs in Vista: semi-transparent title bar and Vista style close-minimize buttons (Vista Home Premium 64-bit). Or did I misunderstood you?

My graphic card is a ATI HD3870 (catalyst 8.4) but with the previous release of comodo (3.x) there were no problems with GUI.

It seems that this version minimize the alert relating to Service Control Manager. Is it necessary to allow certain service control behaviors in default? No alert relating to Service Control Manager  was found even if Comodo's own testing application runs.

Cheers

It certainly looked like a question to me.... Maybe I was wrong.
"For people that got a UI bug with comodo on vista 64, do u have all the same graphic card brand?"

All I did was answer the question. Not attack the questioner.

Nope. Older builds that work show up with a bluish xp look in my Vista Ultimate 64-bit. They always have almost as if it doesn't use the Vista DWM.

If I remember correctly, my Comodo's have always applied Vista theme. Bellow is screenshot of current 22.349 build's one of the few screens that actually work. Although I have some trouble with scrollbars  Roll Eyes

I know this is an outdated build but it's the only one that functions on my system without error at the moment.
This is what it looks like for me.
