Rules and protected resources in 3.0.22.349 are same as of 3.0.21.329 if anybody interested Wink

Thanks.  There have been a few updates here and there and sometimes I lose track of which is which with the rule updates.  There should be a special config that can be imported or added to the user's existing one without requiring them to start from stratch.  If this keeps up, I'll be doing this for each special update Lips Sealed

Agree. With such behaviour one doesn't have to compare script outputs for new and old config etc.

Great news!  Now, with v22.349, CFP doesn't need 5 minutes to get the green flag anymore,  at "System Status" - "All systems are active and running" for those without Terminal Services running.    GREAT !

 Cheers

Absolutely no problem with Terminal Services here.
We run a licensed W2K Server Active Directory domain, and we can report absolutely no problems with Terminal Services on our workstations from the last 4 releases.
No 5 minute lag, etc.

I don't have to reinstall from scratch this time Smiley  Must've took 2+ reboots, but the initializing gui bug is gone.  I wonder why that wasn't in the change log since it's now fixed.

Same system here, and same result: the GUI is not displayed properly, with the title bar sometimes disappearing.

With my config (vista ultimate 64 SP1) the GUI isn't displayed properly. Same problem as other members of the forum who have the same config. The title bar sometimes disappear; the windows elevator  do not work; minimize-resize-close" buttons are invisible; the display is slow.
Someone we can help to solve this problem ?

Thanks in advance

Hi andrea.ippo

I don't think I can replicate this. I've tried copying/extracting the VLC 7z archive (or its contents) to different drives & computers without it being noticeably slow. But, I don't understand what the %TEMP bit is about.. do you mean by specifying the %temp string in your archiver app on an extract? If so, which app is it?
With %TEMP I mean 7zip's temp folder (in my case the default one, C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\Local Settings\Temp - I'm not sure about the translation of Local Settings because I use an italian version of XP)
Can you please tell me if you've used 7zip to try to replicate this or if you have used some other app?

Thanks

Hi AeoniAn,
That is great indeed !
And I posted rather asked above about "Fast Activation" but I mentioned that  DNS Client was  always and remains Disabled here too in addition to Terminal Services

I used PeaZip. But, I will download & try 7zip later.

OK, once I'd given 7-Zip the proper permissions to write to the intended destinations all seemed to work OK. Local destination took about 5 seconds & a Network destination took about 23 seconds. Without the proper permissions my Allow finger became exhausted very quickly (lots of CFP pop-ups).. that archive contains 404 files in 109 folders. Merely deleting it across the network makes Windows sweat. However, 7-Zip was a lot slower (across the Network) than PeaZip.

So you even use Defense+ and get no slow-downs?
My pc becomes slow even with Defense+ disabled...this is very strange, I'll try again the new version and see if I can get unzipping to work properly, thank you Smiley

I think I've found the "problem"
Defense+ was deactivated ("Deactivate the Defense+ permanently" checked) but it's security level was set to "Clean PC", and while copying from the 7zip'd archive, the number of files waiting for my review was growing fast (from 0 to 428 just to unzip vlc folder).
Now apart from deactivating defense+, I've also set it's security level to "disabled", and now the number of files to review remains 0, and the copy is faster.

Thank you for support everybody
