Hey! I stand corrected. Fortunatelly I had that "if" as bold  Wink. Sorry for messing around.

As to ailef's "need glasses?" punt, I believe it was intended in my direction. Well, have to admit that ailef managed to confuse me with this whole "i don't say... but I still say" sentence. My bad apparently.

So then yours is this bluish hue too? Or is my Vista taking craps on my Comodo GUI?

I meant that previous Comodo versions must have been like in your screenshot, but this latest "has" Vista title bars. Or at least all other screens have but this main screen (like in my pic). I'm little hesitant here as normally don't summon Comodo from notification area too often so don't exactly recall in which version this (planned?!) change happened. Anyway, hopefully Egemen and staff can resolve this swiftly so we don't burden 32-bit users anymore with this marginal whining.  Smiley

Hi guys,

We are looking into the issue.

Thanks for the feedback,

Egemen

forgive my little angry post, i'm not always in good vibes those days.(but that's life, all people got their own probs and dont react like me anyway).
i'm sorry as i was too rough for nothing and if i offended u.

No problems. Didn't take it so much as rough or aggressive but unjustified, as we are all here for getting or giving help. Peace.   Cheers

I wasn't angered while I thought it might have been directed at me either. I just figured I would state that I had no intentions of bashing you or anyone else, and I was just trying to help out as to a reason behind the error. So um I guess sorry if my reply seemed offensive somehow. I didn't mean to be I was just saying that I wasn't trying to attack or discredit you or anyone else. As you quoted yourself in your response to the board it was hard to tell to whom you were replying. So again sorry if it was seemingly offensive.

Every new version of Comodo Firewall has more bugs Sad For several last versions the log of attacks is bugged. The important part of any firewall, the log, is empty and often freezes the PC when you try to open it.

New bug in this version is detection of applications that want to access internet. I am set to SAFE mode (Win XP SP2). Many applications cannot access the internet because Comodo Firewall is blocking them and is NOT firing up the allow/deny window where I can allow access. Only way is to close firewall and start again and all allow/deny windows for all these applications are shown immediately as it remembered them. Luckily stealth is still working Smiley This is the only one fully free and well featured firewall so please make it better and not the opposite Smiley

I am also on XP but I have no bugs you speak of.

Hmm, I got these troubles on machine at work and also at home, so should be persistent. Log bug was mentioned by other users long ago too. Just logging does nothing for several (I am sure the newest one and previous one, not sure if even more older ones) versions and hangs PC sometimes if I try to look into it.

Allow/deny window bug is only the newest version, previous one was showing allow/deny window properly without blocking applications and not asking to allow them. Only firewall has this bug, not the Defense+ system, which works OK.

Could be some software conflict? Programs with on-access protections like Avira antivirus and Spyware Terminator?

I have the same set up on both my laptop and desktop. Avira Premium 8 and Comodo Firewall. No conflicts what so ever. No problem with rules. Logging I don't use cause I have no reason to see my logs. Spy Terminator has become severely bloated and I will never use it. Make sure you are not using the HIPS in Spyware Terminator. 2 HIPS causes conflicts. I use SAS on demand only for spyware cause Avira takes care of all my needs.

I don't use HIPS on Spyware Terminator with Comodo firewall, tho it was always working when I tried it, although too many windows to click out Smiley. Just tried again to open the log. It is empty and firewall is not responding cannot close the log window or firewall, even killing the cfp.exe process does nothing, but could be protection feature actually. I must restart PC to fix it. Other software runs OK. Just firewall is not responding.

You wont see logging unless you have logging rules. Be sure you run the stealth port wizard and select the block all incoming connections option. Download the GRC leak test and you will see your logging work.

I did the Shields Up test. Log (Firewall Events window) is empty and opening Firewall Events immediately freezes the firewall. It was working some versions back. It is not working at least for last two versions tho so it is firewall problem. PC is still same and software too.

As mentioned in the corresponding thread the logging bug/freezing is caused by some special characters in the path on nonenglish Windows as MS stupidly decided that the name of "Application Data" folder should be localized. In the case of Czech Windows it's the character í in "Data Aplikací", CFP sees it as Data Aplikac (I really wonder why), and as it's trying to write to a nonexistent path, it's freezing.

PS: According to my testing and reports on a Czech security related forum, the last working version is 3.0.15.

OK Smiley Thanks for reply. I wonder if I can make it working or just wait for hopefully fixed new firewall version.
