Before someone else does it ..... when's the next release?  Sad

Can we open a new forum called "When's the next release" so all those not interested in the clutter can just read the interesting stuff?  Smiley

Congratulations team

Works great here.  No more delays or quirkiness.
Hardly know it is even installed most of the time.
One happy bunny.

At around 02.00 [Friday night out] CPF offered to update. I clicked the OK buttons to allow Flora to update CPF on the understanding that the system would loose internet connection and reboot. It took an absolute age to down load, at the last check [tool tip above the System Tray Icon] I saw 98%. Then nothing happened, no reboot, still connected to www and CPF still at previous version 2.3.6.81!

At 09.00 a repeat offer to update but it was unable to complete. I used the Updater on the console to check for updates, which it did but ended in Error 106.

I downloaded Flora and saved to disc, ran the script to back up the settings [just in case], un-installed clicking yes to "are you re-installing" everything went very smoothly. After re-starting closed CPF and opened the CPF Backup file that these actions had created on the desktop. Right clicked on the Reg file and selected Merge, clicked OK for the Registry information to be written. Then waited for Windows to advise that the the task was completed. Starting CPF everything was "switched off" and refused to be switched on. A re-boot soon sorted that, so everything back to normal plus the extra benefits of Flora.

So it is another big THANK YOU to the Comodo Team Clapping

Not So Naff: Good Lord!  Did you also have to sprinkle the blood of a virgin chicken around your computer while chanting?  If it takes all that to just do an update, I'll skip it.   Shocked  It appears someone dropped the ball when it came to having sufficient server power to handle the update system.

Be patient those updating. In the end for me it worked by me uninstalling 2.3.xx and turning on windows firewall then going to the site which then downloaded the file fine. I don't mind re-installing this version. Certainly much quieter than the previous! I LOVE COMODO! HUGS! LOL

I had heard rumours about HIPS with CPF. Is this still a planned feature that will eventually be included?

It will come back, but may not be reincluded until version 3 is released (dunno when that is due). Egemen has stated that it will return.

I got it  Bounce

Thanks Eyeofstorm for the Rapidshare link !

Works nice now with Dutch add-on, I've found 1 mistake sofar. In the pop-up (asking permission) there was an error.     -- geupgradet should be -> gupgrade, maybe it's even better to change it in geupdate.
Couldn't do the double quotes on the u (forum can't handle it).

Tray-icon is very nice done.

So to the devs (testers, and everyone who helped  Clapping

Some Known  Issues
* In some languages, Exporting logs to HTML does not work properly
* Help files are still in English except for Hungarian, Portuguese, Spanish

Hi egemen,

First of all, grats Smiley. Second, Huh I still got the English help. I've installed the Hungarian addon over a 2.4.

I put together a package, for the Dutch around here and for those who can not get a hold on the release.

What's inside:
Comodo PF pro 2.4.16.174 (English)
Comodo Dutch add-on
backup script 1.5
