Then try Xp Smoker 5.3 if you are using Windows XP or Vista Smoker 1.3 if you are using Vista. You can try 7 day trial version

Hi patrice58,
That red icon indicates that driver (cmgd.sys) is not active.
We just put that check to make user know in case CMF is really functioning or not.

Please check it out.

Thanks

Could someone please tell me if this is the correct driver (cmgd.sys) I have (cmfd.sys)
Also if this is the correct path C:\Program Files\COMODO\Memory Firewall
I thought drivers were usually stored in System32\Drivers
Thanks Dennis

This is the driver from the old Comodo Memory Guardian. Now I understand the source of the "driver not ready" bug... The old drivers are still there...

This was a first install I never had CMF on either my Vista and XP computers.
I downloaded and install CMF 2.0.4.20 on the 25/02/2008

Same here. XP x86, driver not active. Exit and start it again, all OK, until restart.
Vista x64, works fine.
First install of CMF on both os's.

That (your installation) is weird.  I also installed 2.0.4.20 recently (2/26/2008 Eastern Standard Time (GMT-05:00)) for the first time, but I don't have cmgd.sys on my PC.  I have the correct cmfd.sys file.
Which is correct driver cmgd.sys or cmfd.sys?
Two different answers which is correct.

I have cmfd.sys on 2.0.4.20. Not sure, but i guess there was cmgd.sys driver when Memory Firewall was Memory Guardian.
