Really small update. Rebooted. Did diagnostics. A precaution I always take after an update.  Shocked BANG  Angry, found something amiss. Checked to be fixed. Rebooted again. Everything OK now  Grin.

Working great so far. XP pro 32bit.

Hi ailef,

No, the next release will be yesterday.
Tomorrow release was few days ago  ... you probably missed that one already   Grin

==============

On a serious note:  the last two updates were well done  Thumb Up

I had a chance to repair/clean from viruses  my friend's old HP box (XP Pro)
It has McAfee Firewall sitting there for a long time doing literally nothing (!) as I found out... Uninstalled ! Comodo Firewall installed and now got this new update too.

The other installation I was asked to do was for Win 7 x64
I never used Vista and probably will not use Win 7 ... but ... he asked and I did help.
No problems whatsoever!
All went smoothly and currently working flawlessly.

The golden rule I am following (and that was fresh install #15 for different PCs - disconnecting; completely killing all other security and backgrounds; installing Firewall - that never failed yet)... cannot tell about AV component,  since  all mentioned installations were FW only with Defense+ in Proactive / no searches / no Toolbars, etc.

Nice work, developers!   Cheers

Cheers!

Yes just go to Miscellaneous>Update in the GUI and update your program.   This is only a small one and no need for a fresh install.   Both my comps updated quickly and easily.

Hi James,

Wow ... Thanks!  I was totally surprised when I actually could update my Comodo Firewall "without" uninstalling the old version before updating to the latest version.  But it worked.

Also, I just checked the download links on the 1st page and are working ... but awfully slooooooow download.

Thanks again for the Tip!

Hi iroc,

Thanks for the "Idea" ... I never had used the "Dianostics" feature of the Comodo Firewall!

What is the point of this  Huh , Why is defense+ learning apps in Safe Mode ?

Safe Mod -  Every action of the safe executable files are learnt.

Every program that i start Comodo threats as trusted one  Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 Free, SpeedFan, AusLogics Disk Defrag, CCleaner, TuneUp Utilities, GOM Player.....

Now Comodo will alert you only if you use some program that isn't trusted (digitally signed ?) if in Safe Mode.
In previous versions it would alert, now i have to go to Paranoid Mode to get the Alert ?

Have you tried removing the entries in the My Trusted Software Vendors list.

If you don't want to "trust" the trusted software vendors you can also disable this feature on D+ Advanced settings, "Trust the applications digitally signed by Trusted Software Vendors" and untick it.

Yes i have done this long ago (1 year) ,until now i had never this problem.

I have the same problem on my new laptop, i have untick the "Trust the applications digitally signed by Trusted Software Vendors". And still those programs are treated as trusted.
