It would be nice if the update page showed the number of white-listed files.

at every major release, we have improved performance and security.....v4 will be no exception....We are continually improving
every
aspect of CIS. V4 will introduce yet another new concept as far as Internet security Suites are concerned...that will make it without a doubt the most powerful Security suite in the world!

It is huge, but it has never caused me any problems when updating.
Neither did I until 3.12 was released. Now I get an unresponsive system for 5-10 minutes when the first update happens after the OS starts. It's not like it has to even be a large update. I can restart my system immediately after the database has updated and it will still lock me out while it has to do whatever it has to do with that giant database. So it obviously hasn't had enough time to get many updated definitions. (if any)
And it's not like my system is lacking resources either.

That's strange, it doesn't happen to me. When I first boot up,everything is normal and I might get the popup saying the database is being updated 2 or 3 times, but it never causes any slowdowns at all. I can browse, check mail, or do anything else I want. My system specs are way below yours too. I have XP SP3.

Yes, it is strange. Like I said, I never had a problem until 3.12. It's annoying enough that I don't know if I'll be able to hold out until 4.0 is released. (I don't run betas, and I think it will be a long beta) I may need to abandon ship.

Will it be a bigger step than any 3.x to 3.x migration (without CTM)?
You know that CIS needs a "silent mode" to be successful by also providing a good chance to catch new malware (intelligent behavior blocker).
And of course the x64 HIPS needs to improve, your competitors are partially much better than you (I'm sorry to say that but it's the truth
).
Maybe the coming Online Armor x64 version will be kicking a*s and your unsecured ring 3 hook HIPS will look very disappointing against it.

I hope you aren't just referring to CTM
I would be very disappointed to not see anything sandbox like like it has been promised.
Cheers and please make a product that will be really able to compete with the others

Erm whitelisting you mean the firewalls whitelisting really don't you which is more then likely ported over to the AV's database, so it's not just a AV whitelist really but I could be wrong.

I hopped on board the first time I heard about Comodo. After Matousec's last tests which placed CIS on top and they had to add to the already staggering tests to try and break it, I un-installed a current version of ESET NOD 32 anti-virus.
Thank you so much for giving us so much.
