Quite frankly I don't know if this is a good or bad thing. It's good that you have a lot of signatures, but it means that there is a hell of a lot of bad, malicious programming out there. *sigh* And it only means it will get worse. Then you need to load up those millions of signatures to keep your computer relatively safe, but not 100% safe, which is a performance hit, even if slightly, it's still a performance hit. We need the Intel Core i7 just to have decent performance while playing games and keeping our computers safe at the same time. Tongue

I'm on it Melih. Will post back results as soon as I get them. I have a VM with XP super infected. 500+ malware on it and rogues and baddies.
It is nasty!!! As soon as I'm done, I will send ALL the unrecognized samples to COMODO also the ones
rec by the heur so you can add it to the DB!!!

To the subject of this topic:

Agnitum Outpost Security Suite 6.5.2509 - 885.609 signatures
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.33 - nearly 70.000 signatures
AVZ - a little bit more than 200.000 signatures.

They both haven't got ideal heuristics and detection (according to my experience). OSS hates ALL PACKERS and MBAM can't even cure known infections.

Suppose to check new Comodo Internet Security's heuristics soon. Smiley

Great, well done everybody at Comodo and everyone who supplies samples. So far this is a job well done, but there still is a long way to go.

Hopefully soon we won't see results like this one any more  Wink:

Toxteth O'Grady, without excellent heuristics it'll be an endless fight.

P.S. there are only 6 malware under FreeBSD, if I'm not mistaken. It's time to give up Microsoft Windows? Wink

Why give up? If that was the case, the other OS that everyone would move to, would have just as much malware sooner or later. More users on an OS = more malware writers for that OS.

Besides, malware shouldn't be the reason a person has to switch OS's.
