Similar to little red riding hood.

So, Would it work this way..;;  A user clicks a link - sends a request to comodo's in the cloud server, Comodo sends in a "sheep/scape goat" see's what the actual site intends, and then once the results are considered ok - The user could then enter the site?

OR

Comodo's in the cloud server would be constantly sending out "sheep" to ALOT of web sites constantly probing them? or only by user request?

If it is to function better than McAfee, and always be current about the site, I would presume (I trust correctly) it would be an on-demand scanner  ie user request before entering each site.

With this in mind, would any negative sites thus be contained in a database?  And how could such a database be used effectively to help clean up sites (assuming the site admin wishes to have a 'clean' site for visitors)?  Or, would this be asking too much?

I'd presume that it'll have a blacklist in order to cut down on the necessity to constantly scan known malicious sites. My only concern as I stated,is the impact on speed if this scanner is checking a site with multiple links.A second or 2 delay will be ok but I know from experience people are very impatient and will disable this feature if there's a significant lag.

SpywareBlaster has a list of some 10,000 bad sites. I am sure there are more than that. Hopefully this technology will find more, but using known lists like SpywareBlaster would be a good start. Smiley

On the subject of preventing malicious shutdown I've been trying out Drivesentry and when you wish to disable the real-time protection it generates a random number each time that you have to copy (similar to the rapidshare password). This thwarts any malware originated shutdown attempts since it requires human intervention, the numbers are in a form that's impossible to be 'read' by any software.I'd like to see something similar in CIS.

Rising AV has this same feature, it's literally the only way to either disable it or uninstall it altogether, which I find very secure because this way it can't be shutdown or terminated otherwise Thumb Up

OK, so none of the mods has posted any problems with CIS.

There must be many of us enthusiastic forum members who are following this thread since Sunday and hoping to be given the chance to try CIS now.

I have uninstalled all security programs from my laptop except CPF and am waiting impatiently for a chance to download.

So how about letting us in? Hug

I am excited also, but I think I can hold off keeping my current AV active a little bit longer.  LOL

Going by the Registry Cleaner my guess is next Tuesday 10 days approx could be wrong. Thinking
If there any problems I presume they report back to the team only.

I've been trialling CIS in a VM for a few days with no issues at all. However it did warn that some functionality was reduced due to it running in a virtual envoronment (I'd presume the virtual elements within CIS).But from what I've seen this looks to be as good as ready to be let loose as an open beta/RC.  Bounce

And I want the new OS from Windows... In both cases, we'll just have to wait some more time ...

It's been leaked out already. Tongue

Anyways, I can wait for CIS. Those screenshots were enough to keep me occupied for a while. Tongue I need to reformat my dad's computer to get Norton off of there. It just will not uninstall completely. <_< God I hate Norton. I will reformat to make a nice clean base for CIS. Smiley
