Love Comodo BOClean Anti-Malware 4.23.

However, the icon is a little ugly. I do like how the color changes if there is a threat or if everythings running normal. Also I cant get it to update. I get Errors

I installed BOClean yesterday and everything seemed to go without a hitch. However when I signed in this morning I got the message;

"Comodo BOClean - Anti Malware has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"

Underneath this was the usual "Did i want to send the file to Microsoft etc" message. There was no icon in the toolbar. As I share this PC with my daughter who also has a moderator account I signed out of my account, signed into my daughters account to find that all was well with hers. Signed out of hers and back into mine to find out that now all was well with mine as well.

I have Windows XP Home upgraded to SP2 and use Comodo Firewall, AVG 7.5 free Antivirus, Spyware Blaster as well as AVG, AdAware, SpyBot S&D and AVG Free Rootkit which I use manually and they are all up to date.

My question is, has this just been a glitch while signing in and therefore I should ignore it or is it possible I have a conflict with one of the above.

Thanks in advance for any help / advice offered,

With me, once is usually a glitch  Roll Eyes twice  Huh more than that I'll need to investigate. I'm running pretty much the same as you, except single user, no problems outside of the ones I make.

Thanks for the reply Sullo.

I think it has just been a glitch as it hasn't happened again. It was also the first time I had signed into my PC since installing it the previous evening. Maybe that had something to do with it, anyway it has been running fine since then and has updated itself every day  without any problems.

Hit a major problem with Comodo BOClean this morning. Had a popup the refused to leave saying that IE7 that I had put i the exception box, was infected or been compromised.

quote/"Underneath this was the usual "Did I want to send the file to Microsoft etc" message. There was no icon in the toolbar. It refused to close. Deleted it from Add/Remove and was still there. Deleted most from the registry, Start-Run-regedit-OK Edit-Find Comodo, still there. I put in a new Icon for IE7, copied and paste, drag and drop and it changed again to looking like a DOS box, deleted that but one component refused to be deleted, even though the folder was dragged out of Program Files onto the desktop. First time it was a hard boot followed by two more reboots for I had dragged the one item out of the BOClean folder and deleted the folder. All the high warnings had iexplore and just upated two days ago from IE6 SP2 to IE7. I have WINXP Home Edition 2002, OEM and half of those highs were also on earlier version of Internet Explorer. When I upgraded to IE7, my icons were not upgraded so I spent all morning to correct them yesterday. No warning from BOClean 4.23. signed of last night and again there were no problems until I turned on the computer. Took about 45 minutes to remove BOClean 4.23 and 2o minutes to write this up Angry  Chris7

Update: went two other links to download a new copy of BOClean 4.23 and this link, prior link and and BOClean Anti-Malware links says done but errors on the page (s) LINK:

Went to reinstall Comodo BOClean and, even though it was cleaned out, d/l was www.majorgeeks.com, had the same error again and I had not put anything into the Excluder box, How did IE7 get there??  Obviously, there is flaw in using the Excluder box or there is  a connection to the Comodo Firewal Pro. Turns out that there is an incaptability issue with with Internet Explorer 7. I removed Comdo Firewall Pro (has same problem), Comodo BOClean 4.23 since I kept getting error on the pages. Sice i saw IE7 also doing the same from 2 different installs, removed that.
BOClean 4.23 is now installed witth Comodo Firewall Pro behind that, 69% and running. Saw a brief flicker of error on page but now gone. They are both capatable with Windows XP IE6 SP2. Chris7 Smiler

UPDATE: At present, I have IE7, CFP and Comodo BOClean Anti-Malware. No prolems except a brief flicker of error on the index here and it disappeared. There was a secondary problem, I have as a carrier, BasicISP.net, I suspect it uses the Intranet, averything else is Internet under Internet Options, Security tab. In the Intranet, tried to put in http://www.comodo.com which was rejected but my ISP was not and in both zones. I had to uncheck the box at the bottom since it would require https:, my bank is that, so if I want to put in, I may get away with it. It was off for 2 1/2 hours without any problem.
Tomorrow may be different but if don't see anything for a week, that may be my final posting on the 7th May here in Palm Beach County, FL to the fine people over the pond. Chris7

I lost net connection - router powered down - and BOC dropped me this window. I think you can write a better text for this error.

Well, it sure beats this one
