Welcome to the forum!

The GUI (skin) is nice and sexy ;)

But for you poor souls that don't like the GUI  ;D, a feature to change it would be nice!

YES, it would be nice!  thanks4answer

need a means to create an EXCLUSION list of ip addresses.
A range or mask are both inadequate, as many addresses are reasonable for port 80,
while some should be blocked, eg a blacklist

without direct blacklist support, the ability to DENY DEST ports {x,y,z} DEST addresses {a,b,c}
would be workable.

funamental intent is to stop unknown agents from "calling home" with personal ID information.

recommendation:

for all EXPORTed data (Rules, Applications, Logs)
implement a one-row-per-exported-item in open text (ie not compiled html)
to allow post processing and analysis.  CSV tab separated would seem ideal.

this would greatly enhance reviewing the information as visual scanning of redundant data
quickly leads to human overload and subsequently subtle changes are easily missed.
post processing via egrep, awk tools would then be much easier to create to find
specific cases of interest to the reviewer.

If it has not already been mentioned,

the ability to schedule the updater to function only at a specified time/day/etc... you know, a schedule!  ;D

not scheduling at all -- it's an issue of reducing the cost to perform a scan, especially when
the user is active.  When not active, a reduced priority would not matter so having it defacto set
to IDLE would not matter.

Please use an installer that support silent switches.
This will make our lives much easier.

Thanks in advance!

Please identify new releases as something more descriptive than just "setup.exe".    I commonly download many things and sometimes don't get around to installing them to a few days later.  Seeing something in my download folder identified as "setup.exe" doesn't help me know what I am working with.  In the case of Comodo, I manually renamed the latest update as:  "Comodo 2.4.18.184 setup.exe" and this would seem to be a good standard from my perspective.

I, for one, would really like to see an updater working without the need of local admin rights and behind a Proxy. Upgrading Comodo on my work-laptop is a real hassle :)

This is my first wish and it's a small one: I'd like to see the prompt back when new updates come out instead of automatically downloading them without the user's consent.  Some of us are just control-hungry :D

My second wish: there should be a warning message prior to installing (new versions of) CFP that any other real-time security programs like anti-viruses and anti-spyware be disabled to avoid potential conflicts.

Please make the Comodo control window user resizeable.  As it stands now, there are only 2 choices, default and max screen size that work.  The default size on my 1600 X 1200 display is 745 X 570 pixels.  I would like full control of the size.  And oh, don't forget to remember whatever size the user chooses.

In Activity/Logs there is no way to copy an individual log entry.  All one can do is export the complete log to HTML and then extract what is wanted.  A user should be able to copy one log entry to the clipboard or to export just that one entry.  Copying  to the clipboard would be easiest if it was allowed from the Details section at the bottom of the page.

In the Comodo security alert message that pops up on screen, the information in the alert, such as the IP addr, cannot be selected and copied to the clipboard.  It would be most helpful if this problem could be fixed.

It would be great if in alert message near IP address will be shown HOST (:CLP)

Example:

Application    TOTALCMD.EXE
Remote         IP : ftp.linksys.com(66.161.11.98) Port : ftp(21) - TCP

I would also like to see this info.  However, there are some problems that could make this difficult.

1. Depending on the speed of your connection or the response time of the hops, the time it takes to run a background trace route might be excessive.

2. I've been watching and checking IP addresses presented by Comodo.  A lot of time, the IP resolution leads to useless info.  For instance, the IP address might resolve to a site like Akami (an edge hosting company which a lot of big companies use).  Other times, the resolution is to some hosting company or even to a site with no name (even for reputable sites).  There isn't much you can do with this info except OK it if you want to see whatever content it is trying to retrieve.
