This is for a neighbor. She has a Compaq Presario SR1110NX, running WinXP SP3. Downloaded CIS_Setup_3.9.95478.509_XP_Vista_x32.exe. When opening the installer, it would sit for a moment and then Windows gave me an error message.

Can anyone provide SOME help?

Hello.

What does the error message say? Also you could try re downloading the file as it may have become corrupt.

COMODO Internet Security Installer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.


More details are:

Error signature:

I've tried re-downloading, same problem.

What other security programs are running in the background? Try disabling them when installing.

Hi. I too am encountering same problem of repeated crashes. However, the crashes happen after the system restart after installing,
