Problem with access rights in user folder

Hello

Apparently the Defense+ module of my Comodo Internet Security is blocking the access of several programs (ie. Firefox when downloading and Code::Blocks when compiling a new file). I checked the acess rights of my User Folder (this is propably the only folder currently affected) multiple times and even temporarily allowed full access to 'Everyone'.
Nothing worked. Firefox (11.0) still complains when downloading some files to my User directory or any subdirectory and Code::Blocks still displays error messages when compiling a simple C++ program to my user folder. Because the problem only seems to occur with executable files, I suspected the Defense+ or Antivirus parts of Comodo. I disabled both of them just to see the difference, but it still didn't work. I can't find anything useful on Google (or anywhere else for that matter) and the only possible origin of this whole mess is Comodo imo...
I'm getting really frustrated with this because the deadline of my school-project is rapidly approaching and I still need to compile my simulation for biology.

My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit version, and I have the newest Comodo Internet Security version installed. I hope this is all the information necessary to hopefully solve this problem.

For your compiler try the tips in Development tool fixes [v5].

With regard to the FF problem can you show screenshot of D+ logs?

As for the D+ Logs: Well I could, of course. But I doubt it would help you... I looked at the logs myself but the only relevant entry I could find was about the attempted change of an important registry key from an OpenGL test program I compiled earlier. I cleared the log and tried compiling again but no Entry was made. Not even something that would seem irrelevant. Just nothing.

This is also the reason why I am not completely sure yet, that the problem originates from Comodo. But it is the only reason I can think of. Before I installed Comodo it worked fine. On the other hand, this problem didn't occur immediately after I installed Comodo. This is all quite strange.. I will try to reinstall CodeBlocks and maybe even Comodo (although I really want to keep my settings).

Please do. There are two important workarounds/fixes in that article that you should try.

What configuration are you using? Look under More --> Manage My Configurations to see what the active configuration is.

You mentioned FF not being able to download. Is that for each and every file you are trying to download or only for specific sites?

Also make sure that your previous security solution is properly uninstalled. Use the manufacturer's clean up tool. You can find it here: http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN146 . Having a leftover driver or service of a previously installed security program running can cause all sorts of weird and unexpected behaviours.
