i have comodos firewall turned on but i was just wondering if i need to turn on windows firewall also and if there will be any conflicts

It's not recommended to use two firewalls at the same time, because it could cause conflicts. Besides, you don't need Windows Firewall enabled. COMODO does everything Windows Firewall does, plus way more.
