Almost everything stops icmp leaking tests, including my grand'ma kerio (i mean version 2.1.5).

Why should you be, Melih, so definitive with CPF in the same time windows 2000 users, as myself, are to stay with CPF 2.4, which i understand no to be upgraded, and how would you compare the latter with OA, kerio, jetico or whatever you want?

In the same time, you cannot be fair in comparing CPF 3 (a firewall, but also a hips) with other security systems in which the user has a simple firewall, and separately a third-party hips software.

A firewall making rules by himselftrying to phone home, upda? i want make my own rules. Pay for make  my own rules?
CFW can make rules by himself and you can make your own rules, and for free.
Then, we don't talk to about the same type of firewalls. OA free is castrated. I'm not an advanced user, but i like to know what programs and how are trying to phone home, update, etc.
OA free is for newis and OA pro for advanced user. If you ara an advanced user and you can or you want meke your rules, cash bozx ia waiting you, hehehe.

OA is better than comodo except u have to buy it. and it works with kaspersky AV on xp. no bsod like comodo+kasper on xp. and OA free got the best results on matousec site. i don't use the free version cause the free one is too limited. so yes as free software comodo is good but if online-armor vista version works as good as xp version, i think i'll buy it. but i didnt try comodo 3.1 yet, maybe i'll change my decision if comodo 3.1 is as good as OA shareware. i don't care if i have to buy a software if i think it's the best for me.
new versions will come to modify the GUI and the LOG. they work on vista version at the moment, but now comodo is the best option for vista. it works better on vista than on xp and there's no prob with kaspersky AV installed with.
but as free FW, comodo is really the best one u can get, but not on xp.
i'll see if this new comodo 3.1 is as good as OA. and the log on comodo is not really good, the best log i saw in a firewall is jetico.
u can try OA shareware for 30 days, so u can compare it to comodo. for the moment OA stays the best protection to me as FW on xp. if they don't release a vista version soon i'll keep comodo on vista but will comodo 3.1 work nice with kasper av on xp ?
and doesnt comodo make rules by himself when it's learning things ?
OA and comodo are not building the same way, different approach of the idea of what's a firewall.
the best FW was jetico 1.0 but now it's old and not enough secure and the version 2.0 is unstable.
it crashed on vista after 30 min of use so i stopped with jetico, we need a stable FW, and comodo is reaaly stable on vista, you did a great job on vista with it. now as u pretend comodo is the best FW, u have to be first on tests like OA.
and on jetico u had an option to reset FW to factory mode, that's a very good idea. so with a log like jetico, a reverse to factory mode and a protection as good as OA, u'll be the best FREE fw.
i hope u will do the job. but to protect my data the  best i can, i don't care if i have to  pay for. that's why i use kasper as AV. and if comodo stays  behind OA, i'll buy it.
i'm really  impatient to test this new comodo 3.1 but if i got a bsod on xp, i'll be very disapointed.
but as u said OA is shareware, and not comodo, so i agree that no FW is better than comodo as freeware on vista but not on xp. when u're trying to login to xp and comodo blocks all so u cant access your OS, it's very annoying to reboot in safe mode to disable the FW to access your OS.
u're the best FW for vista, that's a fact.
we'll see if tallemu is able to code a FW as good as comodo on vista.
so where's this comodo 3.1 ! i cant' wait to test this new version !

I do appreciate the long post ailef..

however

YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS WHEN YOU COMPARE CPFV3 SECURITY TO OA (FREE OR PAID)....
OA fails the basic ICMP test as a firewall!

Please...

because matousec tests are very old now (meaning no new tests have been introduces for a long time even though hackers don't stop finding new vulnerabilities). the threats have moved on!

there are many more out there... unfortanetly noone is reporting on them! we know, because we have a huge R&D labs about these new threats almost on daily basis! And yes, there could be new threats of finding vulnerabilities into basic protocols!

ok u want me to test the last OA with your test?
np
i tried all tests i found on the web, that's why my conclusion is that OA is the best FW for xp.
don't install comodo 3.0 on xp, if u dont want to stay out of your system.
ok u're the best on vista np.
but if u're not able to fix lot of troubles we have with comodo and AV on xp, there's a big problem.

just try ssdt hooks, your firewall allow the programm to get the ssdt list as OA block it.
try test.exe on xp with all comodo options at max.
and about icmp, u'd better try OA trial before...

ok i testes your cpilsuite, so what would happen?
u think i'm going to allow a prog to use an other prog to do things i dont know?
or maybe i'm stupid?
u know there's an option called program guard in OA?
your test failed.
what do u want to prove?
ok OA is shareware and comodo is not
but OA is better that's not my fault.
