Ya know what I think ? We all (Comodo and OA) should shut the hell up and concentrate on product development. Both firewalls are great ! Both have their pluses and minuses.
So let the actions speak for you ! Melih I know you have to protect the users and thats nice and all, but don't bash Tall Emu. Let them do it ! Let them be the idiots if they want.
Just do your job COMODO !  Viva Comodo  110 Percent

I think it's good to have input on security!! some call it bashing but if the users have no say on the quality and reliability & trust worthiness, of a very important piece of security than whats the point in having it ? would it be OK ? to have pop-ups of the weather or favorite fast food included in your security. if the users of a security app have no say and are not allowed to voice there opinion on what is acceptable and what is not. than we have taken the back seat and have lost the fight.

BTW, I never saw such zeal like here at Comodo, especially by Melih.
At other companies usually CEO is figure who will calm things down, on our forum we have moderators who calm down CEO.
Thank to gods for people like is Comodo CEO

I appreciate your point of view, but once again, this example is not being singled out. My view was reached after seeing the following basic mistakes:

1)auto allow if alert is not answered
2)crashing the firewall in flooding
3)allowing rootkit installation
4)allowing ICMP attacks
5)birthday message from the coder
etc etc..

There is a big difference between V3 being such a powerful product and having compatibility issues on its launch on a brand new OS platform for 32 and 64 bit systems and making the above basic mistakes! Hope you can see that point of view..

Again to recap: Making basic mistakes about security over and over on a 2 year old product on a mature OS is totally different than a brand new product having bugs/compatibility issues on a Brand New OS with such huge integration with that particular OS for security...

So I will see and raise to $2 Smiley

Melih

even if i'm maybe the one that got reasons to slap OA team cause of my short beta OA team participation that finished very fast cause I had big clash with mike that ended with my permanent ban in their forum as i helped them a lot,
what i'm reading makes me feel like i would see someone throw to the lions.
i think they don't need all those comments to understand their lesson.

we should stop those comments, i believe comodo has nothing to prove about the quality of his FW,
and i thought those kinds of posts were over.
they're in trouble, so what, flaming starts again?
all of us that use comodo know why they choosed it, but let's stay humble,
we never know what the future is made of.

My 1000000 $
I'm just a humble worker; I don't make that kind of cash. Thus, I will fold.

Given that scenario, I don't have to show the rest of my cards  (might've been a royal flush, for all anyone knows...).  Wink
