Wow melih, thanks for comparison, i shifted from ccleaner to CSC because because i love comodo softwares, they make best in each field and best is they are 100% FREE without any limitation i really thank Comodo for that from the heart.
But as an normal user i did not knew that difference between competitors products and CSC thanks alot to bringing it to my notice.

Andrei, no problems here since many version ago, thank you. Smiley Thumb Up

I've noticed your progress with CSC, you really do improve the software. My view is still the same though, CCleaner is my choice for every-day-cleaning, and CSC is my choice for every-week-cleaning. What I miss is still all to be described here (still considering #3 to be the most important):

OK, let's be frank. Evil

Pro for CCleaner:

1. Just ONE click to clear everything except registry. The Power Clean button of CSC is a step in the right direction but it still requires some confirmations during cleaning.

2. Speed. I think CCleaner is faster to make this complete one-click cleaning.

3. Custom paths in CCleaner is very useful. The Filter Entries in CSC/CDC is nice, but not quite the same as CCleaner's Options | Include (complemented by Exclude).

4. Everything is presented in just one GUI with tab-like style.

5. CCleaner includes privacy cleaning of some applications that CSC lacks. There is however just one example on my system: 7-Zip. Cleaned by CCleaner but not CSC.

These five points are essentially the pros of CCleaner, IMHO. In all other aspects I prefer CSC because I believe it cleans more things, it tweaks the system (Comodo System Settings) and it has SAFE DELETE.

In the end, you can't cover every file a user want to clean. There are things which are not "reasonable" to add to any cleaning application, thus you need to add it through custom paths. I can deny myself all the five points above except one: #3! - and that's the reason why I'm keeping CCleaner along with CSC.

You are so close with CSC, and with the brilliance of development you've showed since you introduced CSC in the first place, I'm sure you can take it even higher and make at least one user (me Cheesy) forget about CCleaner.

Melih,

Found these two Registry Cleaner Review and Performance Comparison Studies (via a link provided on Comodo Forum):

Registry Cleaner Review and Performance Comparison Study

In-Depth Review of 31 The Most Popular Registry Cleaner Products

Found these Registry Cleaner Review and Performance Comparison Studies very valuable in determining which product to trust in registry cleaning.    Smiley

It would appear that there are quite a few bad apples on this market.   Sad

It's not always only about how many objects you remove. It's also how reliable your solution is. And to be honest, i don't trust any registry cleaner except CCleaner. Sure it cleans the least of all (probably), but at least it hasn't broken anything for ages. While all the other cleaners have at some point. Even Comodo one.

It's all very well comparing it to Ccleaner and claiming it's better -- but having just read the latest forum posts it seems CSC is causing heaps of problems and registry corruptions which is naturally putting people off using it.
As regards the registry cleaning tool, I don't trust any free ones not to mess it up. I use 'jv16 Power Tools" for registry cleaning, and Ccleaner just for cleaning-up junk files. A perfect combination which I see no point in changing -- certainly not for something which generates daily cries of "help!" on the support forum!

I LOVE trying out registry softwares (after backing up my system) since I've yet to find ANY (including jv16 2009) that DON'T mess things up eventually - at the very least they deactivate some program's activation. However, I've just completed a large registry cleanup with CSC in Win7 x64 and, so-far-so-good.
