Ok.. Norm... pls increase the Voltage to 1200V and make it 100amp.... 800V didn't work Smiley

Melih

Uhh, Melih please don't do that!!! It would surely kill Kevin - and we all need him and your great products.

Being new here, I really like your style as much as your products - at least CFP, which is way better than ZA. Can anyone explain, why German press does not report on CFP, haven't seen anything on your products here, just ZA (which mad only trouble on my computers since V7).

Have fun

(by the way: Human body as a resistance of about 1000 Ohm (as far as I remember  from one hand through body to feet) for AC, so 1200 V would allow max 1.2 A - however, this would also kill Kevin - just below about 50 V AC is considered "save" (no, I have no lawyer, I do not take any responsibility for this))  Kewl

Hey, all ~ with respect to Forum Policy, let's keep it respectful here.  http://forums.comodo.com/index.php/topic,1516.0.html  We like to joke around and have fun, but this doesn't sound like fun...

You can end up with different voltage/resistance combinations, and  all those really don't ultimately matter.  It's the 1.0 ampere threshold that's the key.  I've worked on equipment with a 50,000 volt spark-gap that wouldn't kill you, cos the current's too low.  It'd sure mess you up, weld jewelry to your body, etc, but wouldn't kill you.  So be sure to keep the current below 1.0 amp, Melih.

Hi Little Mac,

sorry, but 50 V and 1000 Ohm give a current of about 0.05 A - > see also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_shock#Lethality_of_a_Shock for the effects of different current...
Of course in some applications current is limited to below 0.05 A which reduced the risk for people.

Anyhow, we are here for Comodo's sake, not for the physics of thw computer behind it  Smiler

Hi Little Mac,

Resistance of the human body is not the factor I was addressing, but actual threshold prior to contact with the human in question.  There are a lot of variables, including the method of contact (ie, direct touch, indirect thru connected equipment, another person, available/location of grounding, etc).  Ohm's Law is my formula of choice (and can be adapted for many scenarios outside of electronics).  Wink

Absolutely!  I just want to make sure Kevin stays alive to see if through!  Cheesy  Melih hammers those poor folk sometimes...

WAIT, WAIT, what's going on here, I can't believe people are actually talking about electrocuting Kevin, I mean really people think what your saying here. THIS JUST WONT DO.
A much better idea would be to have a dozen or so  small cute puppies and kittens and electrocute them one at a time in front of him until he sweats blood in an effort to get BC finished.
Or maybe a better idea would be to stick the electrodes on all those people whinging  like 5 year olds that they haven't got there free BC yet, most of who were to tight to ever buy a copy of it.

No, no, no!  There's no "human rights" issues where software engineers are concerned; no organizations will get up in arms about "violations" there.  However, there are very aggressive organizations that will cause trouble regarding animal rights violations; they'd shut Comodo down in a heartbeat if there was even a hint that puppies and kitties might be used to spur on the development.  In fact, I may have to delete your post for security purposes!  Grin

I agree.
No one was willing to break open their piggy bank to buy BOC, now everyone wants it yesterday or last week.
When its ready it'll be here, I'm not in a hurry...Oh wait I already have BOC.

you can be certain those crying for an early release would be the first cabs of the rank when it came to the attack that it had problems because it was released too early [ almost a zen statement that].
