I think you would better off with CIS for real time detection and SAS and MBAM free for on demand spyware scanning  Smiley

BoClean is good, but a bit heavy on the resourses  Smiley

really? when I had it installed it took about maximum 15 MB of my precious RAM.... I recall it used to take far less RAM in the early days....

As for your question:

If you have a lot of RAM, I do not think it is a problem if you use it next to CIS..... Smiler

I remember BOClean using even more memory before. It has been improved. But, it uses more memory then my Avira PE! I am not using the mailguard or webguard feature though. Just guard. If you have extra memory your good to go with BOClean. I would like to see it be shrunk down even more if at all possible. And quicker load times. Mine takes about 30-35 seconds to load when logging in. On a cold boot or restart its even worse. That is expected though since every thing is loading for the first time.

Hi LethalBoy, welcome to the forum Smiley

If you are using Defence+ or any good HIPS, and you know what you are doing, you don't need an AV, an AS or BOClean. See BOClean as a backup for your real-time security programs, as a last resort when something realy goes wrong Wink

If you've loads of spare RAM then yes BOclean is another security layer, however personally I don't think it's that vital if you have a high quality AV and Defence+.It'll be good to see it included in CIS though,as long as it's not going to push up the resource usage too much.

As far as I understanded from Kev, BOClean will be included in CIS, but will stay as a stand alone aplication as well Smiley

At least that'll guarantee against CIS ever becoming bloatware. Wink
