So you're saying delete propagation is not included in this version?  That was an 'option' missing in v1 but otherwise v1 works really great in sync mode, you may want to take a look until they fix v2.
It does but not for all file types, i created files, sync was okay, deleted, sync ok also deleted, same for a folder. But in this specific case the deletion failed...

Hi

Do you have any synchronized backups?

Hi,

No, i haven't used synchronized backups. I only tried registry and user backups so far - both failed with an error as you could see.

Hello Arkangyal,

Do you have the dump file that windows created when that BSOD happened? Do you remember what (*.sys) file caused that BSOD?

Thank you for you Help!

Hi ionut,

CBUFS.SYS, should be the very same issue like richeratmoshpere got (2nd page). Unfortunetly, no dmp file was created on the specified location (i set up m:\dumfajl.dmp and No automatic reboot). What is more strange, nor there is a BSOD info in the event viewer (i checked System but nothing related).
I can reinstall CBU and can take a screenshot with my camera, if that can help you, shall i?

I can confirm this, i used a files & directory backup to an FTP server, mail response:

Backup "http://ftp://ftp.tui.nl/RonnyTest/backup.cbu" completed with success!

A bit more detail would be nice in this email...
Date / Time, & And at least the same info as that's recorded in the cbu_log.txt for this run.

I'm not sure if this is a "bug" or not, but it's highly annoying.

Can't edit a scheduled backup set.
Say you have to change the password for the backup to FTP server then you have to recreate your backup?
or you wish to add more files to the backup etc.

At this moment you can only edit the "schedule" settings.

This feature is being implemented , and will be available in 2.2.

Normal Bug:
Logfile is missing

- Windows7, x32, Enterprise
- CIS
- Create a backup with normal logging
- N/A
- N/A
- N/A
- NTFS
- N/A
- There is no c:\windows\system32\cbu_log.txt like on WinXP

Also this is against M$ design guides for Vista and Later, user data etc should be saved on different folders.
See this blog post on MSDN here for more details

Normal Bug:
iplist.txt is written to c:\windows\system32

- Windows7, x32, Enterprise
- CIS
- Create a backup with destination network
- N/A
- N/A
- N/A
- NTFS
- N/A
- System writes file c:\windows\system32\iplist.txt

Also this is against M$ design guides for Vista and Later, user data etc should be saved on different folders.
See this blog post on MSDN here for more details

More about this, wouldn't it be better to use M$ browse list which is the same as "Network-neighborhood"?
That would not confuse users, now it's based on some sort of local ARP cache list, i see loads of Arp processes spawn if i select network....
