lack of privacy of email address in postings

When I first registered, I checked the box that reads "Hide email address from public?", but despite that, it appears that my email address is being shown to the public for every message i post. 

Is there any way I can prevent that?

Is there any I can gete it to stop appearing on messages I've previously posted?

Hi,

When you are logged in to the forum you will see your email address on posts.

With the 'Hide email address from public' ticked no-one else will see your email address on posts.

I have tested this with my various logins, and it works as above.

The author, mods and admins can see the email address but no-one else.
