Hi!Thank you very much for  a new program!

I have tried this utility. Well, I don't like some things. I hope in the future you will create another and better client and  service.
I think client should:
- not run under administrator privileges
-not use windows technologies such as DHCP service (mainly because of the netbios over TCPIP that must be running in order to allow DHCP running- the well known  hole of all times )
-have better uninstaller that will clean the mess with drivers and registry...
About sever site.
I think, Comodo   server of the TrustConnect service should be more anonymous that it now. For ex. anyone (that scan  my computer) should see anonymous proxy and not a regular proxy  witch forwarded to my  IP in Comodo network.
Even my ISP provide  an anonymous proxy to costumers. Why   Comodo doesn't?
And please don't forget to make "green" all ports except 443 on the server I know that you can do it

Well, I think it would be nice - if possibly of course - to add a feature which allow specific softwares to access the internet without going through Comodo TrustConnect. For example, I have GrooveShark Desktop application, which I use for streaming music and there is no reason to load all that data through trustconnect.

Is extremely lacking correct information or much of any information...

1. openvpn--openvpn config /etc/openvpn/client.conf is not a command to run this.

2. openvpn --auth-nocache --config /etc/openvpn/free_client.conf --ca /etc/openvpn/certs/ca.crt --comp-lzo yes

3. With regards to number 2 that is a correct command to run not number 1.

4. People use firewalls so something should be stated about this if any rules, or ports need set or changed...

How To Set Up TrustConnect On Linux, this tutorial is terrible and someone with some real Linux knowledge and experience with Linux should go back and re write this tutorial.

Honestly this looks like some 15 year old with hardly any Linux experience wrote this, it;s really that bad!

People shouldn't assume that just because they use Linux they know what they are doing with everything, especially something like this and a complete tutorial, telling people exactly what to do step by step to get their connection working should be written.

Would you do any less for a Windows user? Yet it's always assumed for Linux to leave them lacking and without complete information as in this case...

I've installed TrustConnect recently and have been using the free version occasionally, mostly when I need to use my laptop outside of home. It has worked fine so far, although it's a bit slow. One issue seems to be that the ad banner sometimes overlaps with the menu bar on some web pages.

I can see that TC is based on an old version of OpenVPN (OpenVPN 2.1_rc4 Win32-MinGW [SSL] [LZO2] built on Apr 25 2007). It also uses 128-bit encryption instead of 256-bit. Are there plans to update TC to a newer version of OpenVPN and a stronger encryption?

You can try the newer version of TrustConnect based on OpenVPN 2.1.1 i686-pc-mingw32 [SSL] [LZO2] [PKCS11] built on Dec 11 2009.
It's available here: https://accounts.comodo.com/download/trustconnect/ComodoTrustConnectClientWizard.exe
The 256-bit encryption isn't planned. The 128 bit encryption is quite sufficient, considering that encryption key is changed every hour.
And one of the reasons that we won't switch to 256-bit is that 256-bit encryption will slow down the connection speed compared to 128-bit.

Thanks. Unfortunately, that TC version requires a license key which I don't have. So it seem I'll have to stick with the older but free version for the time being.

Simply click "Cancel" on license key requirement window. TrustConnect icon will appear in tray, right-click on it, choose "Connect" and enter your username and password as usually.

I have used Trustconnect for almost a year now and I find it great. I have found that people think that because they have to put in a password to access the wireless network (at say a campground) they think its safe.  With Trustconnect I have the confidence of knowing that my passwords are being safely transmitted.

One question, if i purchase the 10gig/year does that mean I can use 10gig a month for a year or 10gig over a year?

10 Gb a month for a year (10 Gb every month). Month starts from the date of payment (or activation).

I started Working, did very well for 7 years with a great Team of Professionals who saved My life, I was working in the Swap Meets and making enough money to live well, But something really Bad Happend, OSAMA BIN LADEN APPEARS in all the News and it was over for Me, the Economy started to go down and down and I went Broke, moved to Arizona, and they started Helping me, ok for a year, after that I had to Mexico, and it was the BIGEST MISTAKE I HAD DONE!!

There was no free medication for me, in Mexico we make about 85.00 dlls per week, all my medication for a week was over 250.00 dlls per week, no food no services, only the medication, I became Ill, My Father But for Me a Computer and I Became Obssesive Compulsive in all the internet, Videos Music Software ETC. things that I had Before in My Good Years, and then I found Out about Torrents and Vuze That is no longer offering the same services because of Copyrights Problems, So what I don´t understand is How the Goverment Allows Companys to develop Software that is causing Problems to Enterprises and Public in General.


I am tired of this things, Political Matters, and all this "TRYNG TO CONTROL THE WORLD" is insane,
thank God that Right Now I Feel a Little Stable, But I Don´t know how I will be in two Hours, " I DO NOT KNOW WHO WAS CONTROLLING MY COMPUTER BUT I HAVE A GOOD IDEA WHO DID IT" but I can´t probe it, the Computer Told Me Several Times that Somebody was using My same IP Address after that everything went Over Board, ME IN A MANIC STAGE AND MY COMPUTER BEING CONTROLLED BY SOMEBODY ELSE....!! It is More Crazy Than Me!! These were not Halluccinations or anything like that, I had Something To Probe it!!
