Hello. yes about the toolbar idea! I notice that on the comodo interface there is a grey area on the left currently not being used. Could that area be utilised instead of a toolbar? I think it would make the interface look more complete with something in there. I dont know whether anybody else has noticed this at all.?
kind regards. :comodorocks:

I would prefer it if it were not a toolbar, but an icon that you can drag to your bookmarks bar (or wherever) similar to the WOT extension/plugin.

I'm assuming development is ongoing on this application. I love the idea but HATE toolbars. If this was an icon fine, I just don't know if I can stomach installing a toolbar.

I wonder if the "Comodo siteinspector" tool will be like the Avasts web reputation browser plug in? That will mean the end users can contribute towards the rating system of a website, which is good in theory but this can be open to abuse as many of pointed out in other internet security forums. The WOT browser plug in is open to this kind of end user abuse entering false or paranoid information about a site.I wonder if Comodo's siteinspector tool should be left in the capable hands of the security experts? just a thought.

SI detects exploits. Many tools for web browser offer web rating. It is nothing new. Just wait and see.

We don't know what sort of site advisor Comodo will come up with until they release a beta. Myself, I would prefer a "McAfee siteadvisor" style tool (green tick, red cross, amber for not checked yet) for search engine searches combined with real time protection with a combination of Comodo expertise in site checking going hand in hand with input from the comodo forum users. Maybe this tool could be added to the Comodo DNS service with cloud scanning capabilities. Maybe many people on this forum would like to see a different aproach with new ideas. I'm sure the comodo security experts will know exactly what sort of tool is needed and how to implement their idea.I respect fully the decision that Comodo will make in the end

I just seen this new service yesterday and I really like it. It's not like traditional URL blockers it actually checks for active threats such as exploits. When can we expect to see the new product that will use this service? Keep up the great work

Great to have people who understand the technology and appreciate it Some people compare it to WOT or other toolbars and do not really appreciate the power of this product. Thanks again

Exactly right. Great to have people who understand the technology and appreciate it Some people compare it to WOT or other toolbars and do not really appreciate the power of this product. Thanks again well it makes sense on what u r doing if it's an active threat siteinspector will give a warning and if it's a malicious file and it is downloaded because sitenspector says it's safe then cis will block it from infecting the system. There is no need to have two seperate products doing the same thing

Thanks again Will you add this to dragon? I think it would be better to add it within Dragon so that every site is getting checked while a user surf. Regards, Valentin N

I saw a Comodo site message today...

I encountered a Comodo message on a popular website today. I don't recall downloading a copy of SiteInspector. (I still am VERY thankful to be warned, though, as the same site started an unauthorized download to my computer once!) . I warned family members who use that site about this alert, but they claim they didn't get it, nor did they have the dangerous automatic downloading. So I am a little curious as to why they did not get any message about the site. Again, thank you for the alert!
