It doesn't display the information I am looking for.
I recognize it as an app I tried before.
BBS I won't use because my battery drains faster with it installed.

Most users won't have unlimited data so forcing a data DL on them is wrong.

True but it's not great for the overall protection of the device. In saying that tho there needs to be a balance between those that want fast updates and those that don't. Did you mean CBS drains your battery? CBS causes problems with synchronizing with me it blocks it! Try juice defender and see if that helps your battery woes. I find it works well.

Maybe a tick box or a slider saying do you want us to ask before downloading updates? Yes or No.

BBS is Better Battery Stats.
It provides the information I wanted but my battery drains faster with it installed.
I find my battery life is really Ok with current configuration and settings.
A good baseline to measure against.

If one needs to be asked before a DL,  do it manually.
No biggie. Touch the screen and it checks if there is an update. Confirms if you wish it installed.
I'm happy with the current arrangement.

Well I think a slider would be ideal as the people that want to know there is a update before confirming that they do want the update can leave it as it is. The people that just want the update don't really (talking for myself here) want all the long checking for the update then being told there is one then pressing ok to download. What if it ever happens that a updates NEEDS to be sent to all android phone as there is some mad virus out there? That is what I am thinking about. I can understand up to a point when you said to me that the current system is good because you might not have the space. I am thinking in both cases if you don't have the space the update will fail in both cases so the long winded system I believe is pointless and just increases the time your not protected.

I can see and understand your position on this.
I just don't want anything pushed onto my phone.
Even the Play Store has been set to not update automatically and not automatically check for updates but rather let me check when I choose.

I can understand your point of view also. Yep I think the option would be best but I can understand why you would wanna check out what is being downloaded to your phone before you download it.

It's a good little program, not hard on resources.
Needs further development.
Doesn't display currently what I was looking for.
