Hi,

I had to reinstall Win XP on my laptop. I then of course reinstalled CDE. But now I get an error 87 whenever I try to mount my virtual drive. The file I'm mounting was never changed, and I'm using the correct password.

Does anybody have an idea what is going on? My understanding is the file containing the virtual drive is self-contained - meaning everything it needs to mount is in the file and is only dependent on an instance of CDE installed on ANY computer.

Am I wrong and CDE put specific key files in the registry or someplace else that I have now lost - so I can never mount this file? I tried mounting the file on another computer with CDE with the same result - won't mount.

Thanks.
