Please help us make our Anti spam product better by suggesting how you would like us to improve it.

thanks
Melih

An uninstaller that completely removes AntiSpam and doesn't mess up the email client it was used with. Something that would leave things as they were before AntiSpam was installed

Don't we all. With the anti spam program you either get the run around or they just leave you hanging with the problems the software created

This program should be scrapped

Could we start a new wish list, building on version 2.5.

Potentially useful ideas not yet implemented from the old list could be carried forward.

NB Version 2.5 is a very useful bit of software in my view!

Also could we have a bug report list?

Would stop the wish list getting cluttered up.

Also wonder whether in general on Comodo Forum each wish list should be a sub-forum, so each wish item could be discussed in a separate thread. Comodo might then be able to harness its very active user base better, through more active discussion, and, again, less cluttered wish lists.

Just a thought

Best wishes to Comodo & its mission

Authentication currently appears to be based on the 'envelope' field from the message header, which spammers can set to anything they please. It would be more reliable, I think, if authentication could be based on the 'received from' field.

If you use the envelope field then spammers can:
- use a null entry in the envelope header field to bypass spam filtering (This already reported as a problem in the forum). I don't think a blank 'received from' field is possible, but I could be wrong.
- use the email address the spam is sent to, in the envelope header field to bypass spam filtering. (This works because most people whitelist their own email address so they can send themselves test messages). I don't think spammers could put your email address in the received from field without hijacking your account?

Here is the header of a spam message that passed through CAS, with my email address changed to myemail[at]myemail.com for security. Note that the senders genuine email address, or a spam relay, which is good enough, appears after the *last*  'Received: from' prompt.

Return-path: <myemail[at]mydomain>
Envelope-to: myemail[at]mydomain
