Same here, setiamon. Uninstalled cfp, rebooted and no network connection. No reply from pinging nic, though 127.0.0.1 answered. One more reboot and network connection reestablished and windows update works again.

Windows Vista Home Premium 32
Windows defender
Avast Anti Virus Home edition
Re above post by me the windows update I got (5) released yesterday failed seems CFP blocks them as they are configured during shut down and and when the pc reboots.
I have had this problem in the past on the alpha.
The windows defender updates work ok as they don't need a reboot of the pc.
Well that is what I think is causing the problem. But how to solve?
Edit update: Tried the Vista updates again and they failed will allow all in defense + and see if that lets them install. Hopefully I don't need to uninstall CFP.
Second Update: Had to uninstall CFP then the updates to Vista worked so now reinstalling CFP.
Oh well much alert clicking again lol. But worth testing so the final release is good.

A problem , Defense+ Setting→Monitor Settings , I select "Windows Messages" , if a process modify the user interface of csrss.exe , I agree it and let CFP remember my answer , but CFP remember it as I agree the process to modify the user interfaces of all the other processes , not just the csrss.exe . Why it is not like "Protected Registry Keys" or "Protected Files/Folders" , if I agree and remember , it just sets it as allow to modify only one file/folder or one registry key ?

had this problem before, would download but wouldn't install,so i uninstalled it and then installed the updates.later i reinstalled the newest version of vista and again with the new batch of vista updates they are not installing so i uninstalled it and they installed.
Something about CFP3 beta just is interferring with windows vista update for me,anyone else?
Yes i made sure i clicked allow on everything, even tried shutting it down.doesn't help.only uninstallation works
Same problem here with automatic updates on win XP, seems that Comodo's Defense+ wont let svchost and it's subservice bitts write into the temp folders needed to create the updates on the machine, notice that they are created randomly and then an uninstaller is created on windir which can be removed later if you don't want the update.
I saw this this morning, when the updates where ready Defense + started loading popups one after another -all marked red- and then the icon on the systray for autoupdate was gone......

Yesterday I setup firewall rules to allow DC++ to run in active mode. I had no problem with the application rules but CFP would not accept/apply the global rule to allow incoming connections while DC++ was running. The rule woiuld show up in global rules but no incoming connections were allowed and if I restarted CFP the global rule would be gone. Setting up the rule with DC++ closed solved this.
The global rule I put it is:
Allow TCP or UDP from IP any to IP [PC IP] where source port any and dest port [DC++ port].
I am not sure if this is a bug or expected behavior but it was annoying.

I believe I've found a little issue in the firewall.
Here's how to reproduce it:
* Create a password for the firewall
* Try to enter the password to change some settings. If you get the password correct, CFP crashes (Noticed after following reboot).
I'm uploading the automatically generated error report.
So, here's some more details about the system:
OS -- Windows Vista Ultimate x86
Other Security Software -- avast! AntiVirus Home Edition 4.7.1029

http://forums.comodo.com/cfp_beta_corner/a_small_program_which_cannt_be_blocked_by_cfp_defense-t12141.0.html
Maybe it is not a bug , maybe CFP just doesn't have the function . The program what I will say is kill.exe , which is in the "KiLL.rar" . When I start the program , CFP will give me three alerts just like when I start other programs , the three alerts are shown from "1.jpg" "2.jpg" "3.jpg" . When the program begins to work , I click "Protect" which is on the interface of the program , then the program will debug on the system level , there is no alert for that at this time , CFP cann't block a program debugging on system level , some other programs such as EQ-Secure , ProSecurity can block this kind of operation . When the program has done that , it begins protect itself , at this time almost no software can terminate it . More details you can see from

Another program , there is a program whose name is "cs.exe" in the "cs.rar" . When it begins to work , it will create a file , CFP could block it , but CFP cann't show me the right file path , it shows me unknown path , maybe because the program creates the files from alternate data streams , some other HIPS softwares could show me the file path rightly .
