No Direct Play with Comodo Firewall under VISTA 64

The Game Freelancer by Microsoft (from year 2002) can't connect to a server if comodo firewall is installed. deactivating does not solve the problem.
the game uses direct play udp connection.
deinstalling the firewall solves the problem.
thx for any help on this.
