ConfigureAdapter Fails to set IP address on my EasyVPN interface

Every time is start EasyVPN my adapter
fails to set the 5.x address
and falls back to 169.254.x.y
Vista SP2, Enterprise, x32.
- CIS 3.10.x.531
- TrueCrypt
- VMWare 6.5.x
- Cisco VPN Client 5.x
Workaround is to set the IP static.
