Apparently CFP's "Proactive Defense" prevent's the MBAM real-time monitor from running in registered versions of MBAM. Please see this topic for more info.

The user is on Windows XP Pro SP2 and using AVG 7.5. I don't know if any of that makes a difference.

We could not replicate this either, so we have asked the user to add the three Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware executables to the trusted applications list in CFP. With luck this will fix the issue.

Any possibility of these being added to the Defense+ database as trusted applications?

The user has not replied stating whether or not it worked.

Anyway, doesn't Defense+ use definitions that can be updated?

Defense+ uses rules from Comodo, but I think Malwarebytes hasn't been added yet  .

So he Malwarebytes is as well as in Defense + and the Firewall a trusted application ?
