bad activation email

I have created an account for free VPN. However, when i clicked on the activation link in my activation email, a comodo webpage comes up with a red error message that states "cannot activate account. Please try again." I have tried many times now. What is going on?
here is what i have.....
windows 7
internet: internet explorer 8
norton system anti-virus and internet security
