Currently there is no builit-in way to do this.

There is a bit of a workaround though. Uncheck Automatically update virus database in the Real Time Scanning section. This will disable automatic updates. Leave this option to Automatically update virus database before scanning checked under Manual Scanning.

Then create a new scan profile that only scans a small file, such as a .txt file. Something that scans instantly. This way, all the scan is really doing, is updating the virus database.

Then set up a scheduled scan to scan this profile when you want the database to update. So if you want to update daily, set a scan for everyday at 12:00PM or something.
