"Clean" vs Delete vs Disinfect
« on: June 17, 2010, 01:06:22 PM »
I upgraded recently to CIS 4, thanks, appreciate the product for sure

Didn't notice the new "disinfect" option that is under the Clean button

Clicked "Clean" thinking that this would 'clean' the affected items but not delete them

but looks like Clean deletes stuff  -  Is this correct?

Thanks

That is correct. It's a poor choice of words. The button should be renamed "Remove" or "Delete". Others have also been confused by this.

yea it should be renamed to delete and i think there should be a visible quarantine button instead of it under the clean function. and instead of disinfect button, disinfection should be carried out automatically and the antivirus alert should be there when disinfection fails.
