Hi.

I dont know if its an issue, an bug or some problem in my computer.

I have the latest CIS free edition, updated and the issue is:

When I do an database update, it takes a long time to aply the new definition files and (the problem is here) when the update is done, the date of the definition fiiles stay in the previous date until I do another update.

Not a problem that can cause some issue to the CIS itself but its kinda boring.. Cheesy

I think your AV database is probably failing to update, and so will forward you to the appropriate Board for help. (Travelling tomorrow so unable to help you myself, sorry).

If it turns out to be a bug please ask any mod to move this topic back to bugs again.

Best wishes

Run the av updater again and it will show the today's date and time of the update.

It is a bug and it IIRC it has been reported quite a while ago...

CIS AV for any version CIS hasn't worked since v11236, i.e. 12 Jan 10.

I can test the v11236 archive - or extract its contents to either /repair and delete /scanner copy (with either WinRAR or 7-Zip) - and reboot and CIS will boot to v11236  I can do that to my heart's content.

However ANY CIS AV version since v11236 - either archiveed or plain - has resulted in failure of CIS AV, i.e. v0

ANY version since v11236 has failed either test or extract; no amount of downloads of the bases.cav file succeed.  It matters not how many times to grimace proportions that I reinstall post CCleaner processing.

WxMan1. Did you boot into Safe Mode to do these actions? If not it will fail.
