Small jpg (90.4 KB) from my digital camera hangs CIS A/V.
First noticed in a full scan which never got off this file.
Specific scan of only this file also hangs.
Hang locks up PC requiring power button to shutdown for reboot.

PC: Sony VAIO, Windows XP Home SP3, fullyupdated and patched
A/V: Ver: 3.9.95478.509 sig: 1229

I was unable to reproduce this problem and, in fact, actually completed a full scan.

BUT

In the course of the full scan, I observed it to appear to hang again, but on a completely different kind of file (a .cab this time). While gathering data for the trouble report, the program "took off", and the scan was eventually completed. The file was wsusscn2.cab, which is less than 20 MB big.

The program was "hung" on that file for at least a full minute. I subsequently observed the program to "pause" in this way, for varying lengths of time, on numerous other files.

Is it normal for scanning of individual files to take this long?
I know that COMODO scan is rather slow, but this seems excessive.

No this is just the GUI not keeping up with the scanning, making a false sence of a freze or hanging it will keep scanning when it looks like it frozen!
