Is there any way to add some filtering options to Comodo AntiSpam in the future?  Some types of SPAM just keep coming because the SPAMMER changes their name and address with each email.  The subject line is always the same, and part of the email address.

Been getting about 15 per day from this person, and each email also contains the same message.  Would be nice to make a filter to just delete them from the server when mail is checked.

Hi, if you keep getting the EXACT name, use outlook express, you can set a filter right from there. You can set it to where the line contains eg...Debora and choose to have it deleted from server,  etc...Or try to look up a common account feature and use that. The subject line can also be used.  You just go to tools, message rules, mail and in there will be your options. Between that and CAS, you should be set to go. OE is good for repetitiveness like you have. As far as filtering spam in general, no. That's where CAS comes in.  Wink

I do have a mail rules in OE for a number of things, and it will delete the email from the server only if I exit Comodo and then check mail from OE.  The OE mail rules do not precede Comodo's checking.  Because this SPAM uses a different domain name for each SPAM what happens is Comodo sends each domain a reply for the "Passcode" and then because they are false domains I get a second mail for the delivery failure.  Like this:
Quote
Hi. This is the qmail-send program at 5emeavenue-immobilier.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

<deborahschuttz[ at ]bricolisse.com>:
This address no longer accepts mail.

Or this:
Quote
We're sorry. There's a problem with the e-mail address(es) you're trying
to send to. Please verify the address(es) and try again. If you continue
to have problems, please contact Customer Support at (480) 624-2500.

<deborapereiramartins[ at ]braveheartdesign.com>:
The e-mail message could not be delivered because there are no users here by that name.

This is why Comodo AntiSpam should add the ability to add filters to detect SPAM and delete it from the server without sending a mail for a "Passcode".

Each email has the exact same message:
Quote
We called it yesterday and now it's up 100%!  Brand new
issue, Cana Petroleum, heading straight up!

VERY tightly held, in a booming business sector, with a
huge publicity campaign starting up, Cana Petroleum (CNPM)
is already bringing our readers huge gains.  We advise you
to get in on this one as well and ride it to the top!

Symbol: CNPM
Current Price: 5.87
Projected Price: $15.40

Check the stats!  Check the level 2!  Imagine what this one
will do when the full force of the PR campaign hits it, in
conjunction with smashing news!

Major oil discovery?  We are not permitted to say at this
point.  All we can say is that this one is going to see
amazing appreciation in a very short period of time!  This
is your opportunity.  Win big with CNPM!

What is the function of the "Report as Spam"?  Is the reporting the SPAM useful?  It does no good at all to add any of these emails to a blocklist because each and every one is from a different address.

If Comodo had the ability to check a database of SPAM and automatically delete them without sending a email for a Passcode would be a good feature.

I have a filter rule in Thunderbird that put mails in the trash can if the have viagra in it. It doesnt matter if the domain changes or if it's in the subject line or in the mail. Thunderbird throws away mail that have VlArrGRA or anything else in it, even if it doesn't match the exact viagra. Nice...

I don't have AntiSpam installed, but you mean that the mail program filter doesn't work if you have AS on?

Right, email rules do not apply until mail is actually checked with Outlook Express, and I think with any other email program.  Comodo checks all email first, and after that Outlook Express checks when the email is to be actually retrieved.

The thing I didn't like about Comodo is when this particular type of SPAM is sent (senders address & domain never the same) Comodo sends the sender the reply for a "Passcode" to be entered.  But when the sender of SPAM uses a different domain every time I get another listing in Comodo from each fake domain.  This just slows down my mail too much, even though none of it can get into my email program, Comodo does prevent them and works great.

So to prevent Comodo from dealing with the SPAM coming from 2 email accounts I disabled it on those and use the Box Trapper on my web hosting server for protection.  So if someone sends an email Box Trapper automatically sends anyone who is not in my whitelist a email for verification.  I never see who is sending the mail unless I go and check.  When the email is verified then it's automatically added to the Box Trapper whitelist, then sent to me. When it's downloaded in Outlook Express and not found in the OE whitelist it goes to the "Quarantine folder."  Email that goes into my "Quarantine folder" can be added to the OE whitelist later if I choose.

I have a number of email accounts 4, of which are pop3.
I have 8 rules set in Outlook Express which will not allow any email into my Inbox which I do not want. I have some emails go automatically in special folders.  One of which is a Quarantine folder, for those not in my whitelist.

I prefer not to have a single SPAM even downloaded on my PC, and I have accomplished that.

Comodo really needs to somehow do a check with a SPAM database and to add the ability to add filters. Blocking fake domains is useless, and senders who never use the same address.  If they did that Comodo would really be the King of SPAM fighters!
