CasProc.exe is continually pinging the web. Why does it do this?

I set my firewall to ASK when the process was trying to connect to the web just to see how often it happened. It is virtually every 1-2 minutes.

When I deny the request I get a dialog stating that account information is missing. Clicking OK brings up an Email Account configuration dialog. Canceling that dialog results in warning that I may not be ableo to get my emails.

Why does CasProc.exe ping so often? I am not attempt to send or receive email?

Maybe Outlook is auto doing a Send/Recieve and triggering CasProc.exe??
