Are you talking about the free version or the professional version?

There is no difference in detection rate between Pro or Free. Well all use the free version. The only thing the Pro version offers is real time protection and auto updates which both you do not need.

Free Version.

For Pro version you have real time & need $$. But personally on demand SAS is top as CFP 3 takes care of the rest!

So it is more important to have a good firewall instead of real time virus protection?

SuperAntiSpyware is NOT a virus scanner. It is a spyware scanner.

eXPerience that is great information you sent!!  Reading reading!!

Wish I could get my mother interested in understanding security.  She doesn't turn her computer off the right way, thus it stays in hiberation most of the time.  When she wasn't looking I put some security on her computer.  Put Avast4 Home and CMF on her computer.  Hope that is enough.  She only looks at the news, does some research and emails a few friends. How long she will tolerate the changes is questionable.  For it takes longer to get the home page of EI now and Avast shows a pop up when update is done.
