I don't understand, you have avast as well as Spyware doctor, and then when a new scanner doesn't find anything it s*cks? That's just ridiculous.

LOL : Antivir is a very ineffective scanner because it didn't find anything on my pc  Comodo Needs You, as well as kaspersky, Pctools antivirus, bitdefender, NOD32, etc.

I was showing that spyzooka didn't falsely detect any items, which is a characteristic of a suspect program, that part checked out.  All those scanners I used were used to scan SPYZOOKA to check to see if spyzooka would be detected.  It wasn't, and rating sites, including spyware warrior have, and currently claim spyzooka is a non-effective antispyware.

On a virtual machine I installed it.  Avira, nor avast, or spyware doctor detected it.  I ran a scan, and it didn't pick up anything there fore it doesn't plant malware, nor produce FP's.  It is a very ineffective scanner and I would NOT even install it or visit the website.

I didn't say it was any good just that it wasn't a rogue  Tongue

Roll Eyes Personall eXPerience (lol), it's not bad, they don't produce any FP and it's no rogue product. It's effectiveness is just unknown. However it scored like 86% on my test samples (which is good).

The fact is that the free Google version only uses around 200.000 signatures, while the full version is about 800.000 (I think, could be more), so for me it's quite normal that it failes

cool, but S&D not up to the job? Maby it's not the best anymore, but it's still a great scanner. On my dad's his pc, windows security center, and task manager disabled. It found all those registery changes and more.

The searching and defensing of Spybot is old fashioned, but it still works decent...

I've found that to be the case with all spyware protection software: Ewido, Adaware, AVG, CounterSpy, SpyDoctor, Webroot's stuff... all they have ever found for me was a bunch of cookies, and I go EVERYWHERE.  Thumb Down
I stopped using any kind of spyware product over a year ago.
Maybe good for people who use IE for everything.
